Streaming setup vs gaming headset doesn't conclusively mean she's in Japan, for all we know the different groups of livers might have gone to different places as their own breaks. We won't know because of her opsec and everyone else's this time where she is. We can only speculate. It's the most likely scenario that they couldn't cancel their flight tickets and refund them, and thus went to Japan anyway as their scheduled break which was meant to be the AR recordings. In that case, hoping they did get some recording stuff done anyway, but again it's all speculation on our end unless she actually tells us.

You're right, it's kinda obvious which is why I haven't bothered commenting also common thread of "criticism" seen in the main thread, so I'll say my peace here instead:

She'll do what she wants when she wants, end of story. What happens behind the scenes we can't know unless they tell us. If she takes a direction her fans don't like, she'll know it when she actually starts losing out on more loyal fans, and she will notice because she interacts with everyone at such a high level of engagement. She knows her audience, she's not stupid. She streamed hard before leaving precisely because she knew she would be gone so long and unable to stream from Japan because whatever mobile set-up she has, it's not adequate for travel streaming with her usual content.

The break was meant to be part of the AR live, they were granted it as an actual holiday since NijiEN probably already had the tickets and studio booked. She's going to enjoy herself and she probably has pushed to get whatever work she could done in regards to the AR done, because she like Pomu and I'm sure many of the livers are determined to make the show happen. If you think they didn't get any work done on this trip with so many people over there, you're stupid. The "cancellation" is so corpo they can gauge exactly how much time they would need to actually make it happen, it was mismanaged logistically and the result is it generally hurt ALL of the livers, because they could either be streaming and bringing in more money and viewership, and stagger their breaks like normal, or they could have had the recording done if they didn't severely underestimate both the logistical example, how they fucked up Pomu's visa and "break" to work ratio for the AR. You can infer the latter from her leaked DM with Vox, they were working themselves to the bone but again, it was mismanagement. That's also why they were all so catty about the "COVID" excuse.

I've worked enough in corpo environments and on film sets/with musicians in recordings to know exactly what they're going through right now. That's about it.
