As far as I know holoalt doesn't even refer to any one thing in particular. Holoearth is a dumb project that will flop hard because no one outside of the holofan demographic will play it unless it's actually good by wider gaming market standards, which is extremely unlikely.

HoloEarth reminds me of those early 2010s Kickstarter projects where people without previous knowledge of gamedev think they can actually manage a huge project as their very first game, and then after gathering money from Kickstarter the project get silently folded 2-3 years later (bonus points when some famous gamedev is listed in staff and people took the bait solely for that person)
Instead of making huge ass Minecraft clone #30 (but this time with vtubers) Cover should've invested in small games like HoloCure (which works well thanks to quickly making up the base game of genre that just got popular again thanks to Vampire Survivor and adding a wide cast of characters, each with their own references thanks to 5 years of Hololive's history), gather enough gamedev experience from those games and THEN start working on big ass game.
Then again, not even that plan is guaranteed to work - for example, Cygames have shitton of popular gacha mobages since 2010s yet Granblue Relink is stuck in development hell for what, 6 years by now? Makes you wonder if it'll even cover the cost of development at this point.
