I have no idea what the fuck is going on, I don't pay attention to NijiEN, I don't normally browse the catalog, I don't browse twitter, I don't browse drama vtuber channels but a friend asked me what was going on, he doesn't watch vtubers but somehow heard about "the nijisanji drama" assuming I'd know
what the fuck is going on?
the last NijiEN drama I remember was ena making black people like chicken jokes with kyou and getting cancelled for it and apologizing

Over the last couple of weeks:

Millie and an unknown group of livers made a group chat stream where they mocked negative comments they've seen here and on other websites. The video was immediately privated and had a controversial reception. Pomu disavowed it, saying she intially participated but it quickly got "too real" for her. Mysta woke up annoyed by a ton of messages from twitter accusing him of being a part of it. Millie, who hosted the stream, apologized in member comments saying she apologized to the livers for it and went on a break for IRL issues. Some suspect she was silently suspended.

Zaion Lanza was suspended a few days ago for repeatedly breaking the rules, lying to management, and for "insensitive jokes" which whipped up twitter into a frenzy. One joke that stood out was a recent one from her playthrough of "The Karaoke" where she made a rape joke. She got doxxed and will likely be subjected to a lot of harassment upon return. Kyo commented on it on his RM account, apparently in support of the harassers, and the tweet stayed up until people started harassing him.

Most recently, Vox was hard doxxed by an old classmate. Soon after Vox announced that he will stop streaming due to a "family emergency" until everything is sorted out. He was accused of "dating a coworker, then cheating on her with someone else" but the evidence for it is shaky at best. It was also quickly deleted soon after being posted and the instagram it was linked with was privated immediately.

So yeah, we're in the middle of a category 5 shitstorm at the moment

it sounds bad by vtuber standards but honestly it's not really all that bad compared to other dramas
sucks for vox tho, a "hard dox" for someone with crazy fans/antis is actually worrisome

Other members participated with Millie but they were all under different usernames.

Also one more thing, they had a concert announced but it was canceled a week later due to "covid" concerns, which some Luxiem members mocked on twitter showing there was signifcant disagreement between them and management over the cancellation. Other livers promised it will be postponed to a later date.

There were some comments about them being whores, but yeah overall it was pretty tame. A lot of us were calling them stupid for bringing attention to /here/ and feeding the trolls

No talk of Millie and Enna wanting white dick or Nina fucking all of Luxiem on her trip or Uki x Pomu x Finana threesome or making fun of Selen for her laugh calling out Finana's hypocrisy shitting on parasocials while pandering to them since day 1 or how Ethyria ghosted Nina and adopted Elira into their clique.
It's just tame shit.
The spiciest jokes are about Enna being claiming to be a virgin, calling out Nina for only having one joke , Millie for her constant im single like you bros and Pomu after her collab with Luca.

Anon. management is practicing an age old technique known as "burying the lede." To begin a story with details of secondary importance to the reader while postponing more essential points or facts.
Management knows it would reflect bad on them to suspend someone for such a simple joke that does not offend her audience or most people, so they padded out their accusations with exaggerated claims which look bad on paper without context to justify their harsh actions. Even the antis agree the joke is the real reason this happened now.
