When I was i school, the female bathrooms would often be barred because of someone smearing menstrual blood or shit on the walls. In one case they were throwing tampons at the wall. A few years later in university, girls would sometimes just use the men's bathrooms (especially if there was a queue to the women's ones), often noting how it "doesn't stink as badly" or how clean it is.
