So, I'm a pretty casual fan of Vtubers. I don't ever really watch streams and prefer to watch Youtube videos as background noise while doing other stuff. As such, I've never really watched any streams of Ame despite thinking she's pretty cool from what I have seen of her. I wanna try getting into watching her stuff, but I'd probably only watch the videos of streams since I just don't really vibe with streams much. Any suggestions for which series she's done that aren't too long and are worth watching? Thanks in advance.

You could always check out her one offs like Donut County or Later Alligator, both good examples of short but sweet games that she finishes in a single stream
They're full of her voicing out the dialogue of the characters which is very charming, and they're full of puzzles that are both interesting to see, the former more for the physics and the latter to see how she brute forces some of 'em
For longer series Mario Galaxy is pretty good, Mario Sunshine is fine too and admittedly has some hilarious, rage fueled moments (while also a few incredibly jank moments) but she also did get a bit more frustrated with it as someone else mentioned
And of course Superliminal is a must, it's two streams but it's also full of puzzles and her being absolutely adorable, especially with her compulsive need to hit every single fire extinguisher and fire alarm

Just a world of pain in the form of frustrating controls and themes that are more gross/creepy than anything. Plus Cover is never, ever getting the rights for Konami games. Not him, but personally, it's hard to explain. Watson will have moments where she acts out some anime trope, makes cute noises, and may say a Japanese word or three, but I feel like she does it a lot less than the rest of EN and, generally, comes off more naturally imo. For some reason, I get completely taken out of a stream pretty much any time Ina humu-humus or Mori drops a random nip word in the middle of a sentence, for instance, because it just comes off as forced to me. Funnily enough, it doesn't bother me at all when the JPs do similar things. I'd assume it's just because I've been conditioned by dealing with too many full-blown weebs to recoil whenever an English speaker leans too hard into acting like an anime character. Now, I will admit that, by this point, I've watched a lot more Watson than the rest of EN, but that's also because Mori and Kiara filter the fuck out of me, and Ina and Gura don't really do it for me whenever I tune into them. For whatever reason, Ame's voice and mannerisms are just perfect to me.

I think ordering them by date would be good too. I think the outfit reveal is great... but for maximum effect you need to be somewhat aware of her personality. That stream was like the culmination of all her handwork, its the last concert on the biographical movie (until she sings SSS on stage that is) so i wouldn't recommend it as the first for a beginner.

Yeah, Watson could be seen as a mostly normal streamer with a voice and an avatar for anonymity. The tropey shit is there every once in a long while, but she tends to separate that from how she normally talks.

Theres that and how she constantly does shit like turn superchats off and has non-member-only movie streams. She puts a lot of effort into her streams and prioritizes having a good time. Probably at least in part because she knows she's already making enough to get by easy.

She's honestly one of the few vtubers who could abandon the vtuber persona and go live while remaining entertaining (though there'd probably be a sharp audience drop). There'd be less cutesy shit, but she's got a lot of charisma outside of that.

Only thing that would suck is she'd lose a good avatar, wouldn't be able to have fun with lore anymore, and wouldn't have built in collabs with other experienced streamers. Also, she'd be considerably more affected by "streamer culture".

I saw someone compare her to Fubuki once, I wonder if thats true. Just the fact that Fubuki is doing speedruns over more algorithm heavy streams makes that seem more legit.

What will happen is a chunk of people will watch the highlights after the stream instead of the whole thing, and since its short its gonna have a ton of views, even from people that already watched the whole stream.
