pretty sure Japan and America's relationship is solid enough that committing a crime in the US means Japan is gonna bounce your ass back like a tennis ball. Also, Mori would be rightfully afraid to renouncing U.S. Citizenship, I think as a U.S. citizen in Japan, she's still got certain U.S. rights, if she was entirely at the mercy of Japan, she'd be mythraped harder than anything Coco could hope to do.

Japanese court systems are more merciless than most fascist dictatorships (it's like a 99% conviction rate, North Korea and Saddam's Iraq didn't have those rates) and will knowingly send innocent people (Japanese too, FYI, not just Foreigners) to death row. And Japanese legal justice system hates Foreigners with a passion. If they can get dirt on you (even if it means throwing dirt from someone else onto you) they'll do it.

Worst case scenario for Mori would be IRS/FBI ask Mori to use her connections with Cover to report on Korone, Yagoo, and Coco who would have criminal connections. They will, Japan does extradite to the US, also Japan can and has rejected the VISA of US felons, so if you have say a felony drug possession for example in the US you are likely barred from entering Japan.
>Japanese court systems are more merciless than most fascist dictatorships
that’s because their court works like a military tribunal, you are judged by a tribunal of judges not a jury, and these judges all have either political aspirations or want to get re-elected to their seat, so they want as high a conviction rate as possible so it looks good on their record, that’s the inherent problem with a tribunal system as opposed to a jury system.

Doesn't matter; that's literally the only way to get a house reasonably right now. Housing market is completely fucked because hedge funds keep swooping in and buying everything of value at 2~10x asking price in pure cash up front. Real people can't compete with that, so the housing market is completely in the shitter. This is what happens when you round up a bunch of bored, antisocial people, give them a forum to talk to themselves and direct the topic to be about the inherently cult-like appreciation of individual women. japanese work visas are not hard to get if you're working with a well established company with normal jobs.
renewing a work visa with a company that has a very vague description of what the job is, or as a "youtuber" is hard. cover only has had two other foreigners living in japan, kiara who never recieved a visa from cover and coco who is rumored to have a visa from being jp herself.
if a company has never had to do this process before, and has a very stupid job description like "idol", it would be a lot harder to renew her visa esl-kun

>Declining birth rates
Then why is their government so concerned about it? You really don't know what you're talking about.
Every country wants a birth rate that is at least maintaining their current population, because if it starts to decline that will eventually create issues when you don't have enough people to fill all required job roles. this will really inhibit the growth of the economy, which nobody wants.
It can lead to other problems too, like reduced tax revenue for government spending/social programs. In russia you even get paid for having children because they're so worried about the birth rates.

After I got my Japanese certificate in university I had some companies scouting me to work abroad, but I completely avoided that shit. It’s already really hard to avoid a dead, dispassionate corporate job here in America. From what I’ve been told Japan seems even worse in that regard. Going to Akihabara for the 500th time doesn’t really seem like it’ll make my life much better when I’m wage slaving in a foreign land.
