Well in the beginning the model was random
but now I am pretty sure that the model is pronably communicating with he chat neural network as well as you can notice a and see that over time the model has begun to make expressions more in line with whatever the conversation topic was, such as a sad topic is a frown face, or a happy topic is an excited face or a strange topic is confused and so on. It isn't perfect yet but it is definitely more noticeable than it was weeks ago
specifics though, that is something only vedal knows how he programed it or why it takes certain information desu

There are probably standard tools for turning text-to-speech data into mouth flap animations (like the one carykh released), and the rigging for the model's eyes probably accepts a pair of coordinates representing "looking up/down percentage" and "looking left/right percentage" (which Vedal can calculate based on where on the screen his game AI is trying to press).
