"Realistic style" lora, trained with --network_train_unet_only on images from professional photosets.
It 100% sucks, but if you use it at low weight (0.1-0.3) it may improve backgrounds and shadows without changing other things too much. At high weight it's too creepy and too realistic.

So I'm trying to get activation tokens working, and I read in a past thread that pruning tags related to the character would help more for character LoRAs, but I can't seem to get desired results without copying and pasting a whole batch of tags from the dataset. I wouldn't worry too much about pruning tags, you should describe what's in the picture the AI should handle separating the tags into what's on the picture during training
(noted this will change the shape of whatever was tagged,i.e, if a leaf in the background is a maple leaf and tagged as leaf most likely all leaves generated will be maple leafs but i don't think there is any way around that if it's in the sample).

Ahh ok, basically how I do this is separate the dataset into multiple portions, 30% full body, 10% upper body and rest as faces. I usually have 22 to 25 pictures so I have around 6-7 pics of the full body that show the outfit (preferably in various angles but not 100% needed, helps with flexibility). Other make the outfit descriptions consistent between the sets and you should be ok, at least it's how I do it.

One caveat of this is any other outfit you put on will change color pallette to the main outfits (you can add it to negatives to make it stop but it's a caveat lol)

The LoRA works fine when the appropriate tags are pasted in from a dataset, which makes me question if the token is even working as intended (since it won't work unless the other tags are also there), I just don't feel like i've done it right when I have to refer to the dataset to prompt anything from it. I'm using the colab to train if that matters, though I've also enabled shuffling of captions which I assume should have prevented a situation like this.

I think the way I was doing it was making a tag with the character's name and adding it to the beginning of the tags, in all of the images with her wearing her default outfit. and making a separate tag on all the images of her wearing the alternate outfit instead of the character name. Is that the wrong way to go about it? I figured prompting the first one would give them their default outfit at least, but the AI gets it mixed up regardless.

After the update it seems like my hypernet no longer does anything when I it put in the prompt. I even went and tried older generations and the image became different.

I'm not a pro lora trainer or anything but I tried making a shion lora on multiple outfits at once by splitting them into different folders, each with a different trigger word at the start of all their tag files - https://litter.catbox.moe/7gg7ki.png ("other" is mostly nude but also just has a few pics of things that aren't any of her actual 3 outfits)

The trigger words essentially do nothing. The lora can generate pics of all the outfits, sometimes, but it takes a little bit of outfit description in the prompt to help push it toward the correct one, and even then it sometimes blends them in strange ways, like how it puts her hat or little cape thing into other outfits often. This comparison pic was generated on a model that doesn't have any hll mixed into it so basically all the character concept is coming from the lora.

Overall I feel like I would have gotten better results just making a different lora for each outfit. It's not like she can wear two different outfits at the same time anyway so just switching loras depending on what you are trying to prompt is not that big a deal?

As for the settings:
5 repeats, 8 epoch if there's barely any pics
learning rate 1e-4, text encoder learning rate 5e-5, network dim 128

I do 2 repeats and 12 epoch if the dataset is >40 pics, though usually 400~600 steps usually already give pretty good result.

It's pretty much trial and error to get good result since there's no 'best' settings.

yea, that same mount bind command + a little trick to print the date in ISO + time in UTC is the same way I made the retard notebook do "your output will always automatically be on your Google Drive with no further effort required".
I/O access directly to Drive from within Colab is kind of slow, but it's nowhere near slow enough to make reading a set of training images, or outputting your regular images feel any different.
I actually tested it pretty extensively for mounting the ENTIRE stable-diffusion-webui folder to Google Drive, so that you could "download and set it up ONCE" if you had ~10 GB to spare.
I think since using colab means using launch.py directly instead of web-ui.sh, there's no venv created, so it still wants to install all the python stuff every single time. plus for some reason it still downloads/reinstalls codeformers and resergan and tamingtransformers and all that other stuff you see in the console normally when you launch webui the first time in a session, even though they're all still downloaded and I can see them taking up space in the folder. I could probably figure it out, but loading models directly from Google Drive is almost slower than just having it download them from huggingface, so what's the point? I actually timed launching the "entire mounted folder" and just having it download the same exact model + VAE and set webui up from scratch...the latter is actually considerably faster. besides, copying config.json/ui-config.json over before launching automatically loads all my settings. that was more than enough to convince me it likely wasn't worth the effort to figure out or mess with any more than that
