I'm aware Holo frequently hires girls who know little about the company but I really fucking think they shouldn't. They don't need to be one-of-us superfans either but they should have a very decent understanding of it at least because it's a bad look when you're part of something so intensely driving by the fans and yet the fans know 10x more about the subject than the talent herself does.

I can get them hiring total randos for the early JP gens like Shuba and such, because Hololive wasn't jack shit back in the literal Gen0/1 days, why would they need to have heard of it or be big fans of a little company living in Nijisanji's shadow? Today however after they've been on top so long, they need to look at who they bring in more carefully.

Hiring someone who is proud to not know or care about how Hololive runs or has run or why it's famous, after they've been the top dog for this long, is fucking absurd actually. It's like if the NBA was like, "ok so we might wanna hire you for a team. I bet you grew up watching basketball, who were your idols growing up?
