and your isp? they save it too. everybody is different but pretty much every isp keeps a fairly current record of which ip was held by who and when, as well as where it communicated. and vpns? lol they store it too.
on vpn's and 4chan you're fine if you're doing nothing illegal or potentially illegal. random civs can't just get that information and especially if they come years later trying to build a dox. but anonymous tips about your ramblings of wanting to rape subaru? you might get an under the hood investigation.
