Castlevania III US is harder than JP (enemies do more damage, Grant doesn't throw knives). If you want babby versions of Konami games then play the JP versions. Like Contra: Hard Corps US doesn't have a life bar while JP has three hits you're dead or Contra 3 you only get the credits in US by playing on hard.

On the other hand the JP version of CVIII has superior music.

Do people enjoy old Castlevania? It's fun to watch her play but after beating Bloodlines recently I don't think I want to play any of these games ever again.

CVIII JP is not a babby version, it's the original balance. It's was changed in the US version because they didn't want American kids to beat the game after renting it.
US version ruins Grant and makes him useless. Late game is also an unenjoyable experience because of the damage scaling.
The weird thing about this game is that the difficulty varies wildly depending of the path/characters you chose. If you want real babby mode, get Sypha. If you want the hardest console Castlevania, go for the underground route.

US version is the inferior version. Worst soundtrack and inferior balance (making Grant shit is the worst part, since you have absolutely no reason to go to the clock tower in the US version). JP is the original version too, so the only reason to play the US version is bragging rights or nostalgia.
Also calling a version babby mode is stupid since it depends on how you play. A Sypha run on the US version is a cakewalk compared to a JP solo Belmont run.

All of the classic ones are IF you know the game well. Of you're playing for the first time then you will need to put some time into them. Like Contra which you can beat in 15 minutes but you need to put enough time into it to be competent at it.

I bump for another JP chuuba and yes, you need a few dedicated bumpers distributed across timezones or it won't last. It also helps if there is something to actually say about the streams while it is happening, so that there is a reason to draw new in people occasionally.
I don't watch Unou frequently (barely have time for all of my oshi's streams). I will help bump this when I remember and/or see it. I can't recommend committing part of your life to bumping a thread, but you won't know if you could until you give it a try. It's been easier lately with fewer major drama or "yabs" that cause 50 new threads per hour. Or maybe meidos are doing their jobs.
