Which holo graduation would cause the biggest impact?

>> No.41484091

To me - Any JP5 member
To others - Sora as a symbol, Fubuki/Miko as the first viral one, Suisei as the greatest asset, Marine/Pekora/Watame as the hardworkers

>> No.41484100

Miko. I dislike her but she's one of the most active in her own activities as well as when it comes to organizing collabs

>> No.41484291

>> No.41484482

Kiryu Coco, she's the only holo who got 500k live viewers

>> No.41484532

It depends.

A positive impact, Coco like graduation would probably go to the ones that >> 41484091# said.

For a negative impact, something that would always be remembered as a dark stain in Holo’s history would be if a mem was outed for grooming their fans, or if they had a full on menhera breakdown on stream, something straight out of NSO where they make a stream just to call every other mem a whore and tell their fans to kill themselves. Maybe add some slurs for good measure.

>> No.41484538

>>41483977
It depends on the reason why the holo graduates. Miko graduating because she's burned out would have a big impact. But an unpopular chuuba Holo like Anya graduation would have a huge impact if it was because she did something like kill, rape, and eat the other IDs.

>> No.41484635

Miko or Korone. Pekora has more viewers but weaker attachment to other members.

Honorable mentions, especially Pekora, but Miko surpasses them I think.
She is the protagonist of Hololive, after all.

Also I'd like to remind people of Suisei.
Although Suisei doesn't take much from being in Hololive, her contributions to hololive on a meta, company-level are perhaps second to none. A similar statement can be made for Mori Calliope, despite the feelings of many /vt/ antis.

To the fanbase, Pekora or Miko, they are rhe ones who lead the charts and losing either of them would cause the uproot of many fans.
To the members, Fubuki or Marine. If they graduate and continue activities on the Internet in other ways, I expect bad things to come to Hololive as a whole.

>> No.41485338

>>41483977
Marine will graduate in 2024 so you'll find out then

>> No.41485556

Honest answer? Probably Fubuki. She's pretty much the biggest pillar of hololive right now, with connections to all the other holos, and her leaving would have a much more drastic impact to them.
Miko and Subaru are probably close seconds. They have a lot of connections within Cover and have a broader audience than Fubuki. Other top performers like Pekora or Aqua don't have the same level of inter-company connections, so while there will still be a big party thrown when they leave as they do contribute massively to Cover's success, I think eventually things would die down like they did with Rushia. Marine and Suisei have significant meta contributions to Cover beyond just standard streaming, so their leaving would diminish Cover's growth more, but I don't thing either would be as impactful as FBK, Miko, or Shuba.

>> No.41490569

Rushia and Coco already graduated though. In fact Rushia did worse than graduate she got fired.

>> No.41491164

real answer ? depends on the reason of graduation, any graduation with huge real scandal not just some schizo rrat could bring a company down, but there is also some graduation that would actually rise a red flag, it only applies for member who is old enough and always or most of the time always in line with company direction and have quite enough influence of it, so if someone like Sora especially her, someone who is the foundation of core aspect of the company like idol stuff etc, graduate with a reason like "creative difference" it will rise a real flag that the company is really changing, anyone can graduate and it won't really change the company financially since the brand is already big enough to afford it, unless it's something like mass graduation which unlikely to happen without any big scandal to begin with

>> No.41491608

Pekora or Miko graduating would potentially be a massive blow to Cover's number dominance, especially as they've been responsible for maintaining Hololive's momentum past Coco and HoloEN's blowups (and downfalls). I do think there are members prepared to take on their mantles just in case though, such as Suisei or Subaru, but in the immediate moment the formers' graduations would have way more impact than Rushia or Coco.
Fubuki basically held Cover under blackmail with her ''if I leave, that means you can't trust Hololive anymore'' statement. She's guaranteed to leave a significant stain unless her reason for leaving is absolutely necessary and inevitable, such as being down with a terminal illness.
EN-wise, I don't think any of the girls graduating would leave a big mark. Gura is essentially absent anyway and the rest don't really have a significant legacy upon Hololive.

And Coco has uniquely situated to maximize both audiences with her role as the bridge between branches. I don't think any single talent can pull enough from both camps to surpass what Coco did. Some like Pekora and Marine will have bigger pull from JP crowd but they won't bring in nearly enough EN crowd to approach Coco.

That and Coco built up momentum with a month long farewell. So far we have only one had attempt to do similar with Sana but even she cracked and took a 2 week break before her big finale. Why? Less viewers.
Mikeneko is an indie vtuber. She lost part of her audience the moment Cover fired her.
As for Nazuna, the JP side isn't embracing Twitch, so her view count is lower there than it should. And she barely streams on YouTube as Mikeneko for various reasons

It really does depend on the context.

Lets say Fubuki finds the man of her life, and decides its time to retire so she can be with him. There will be some butthurt unicorns, but for the most part people will be happy for her, since this is more or less a happy thing to graduate over, and you'd better believe that she will receive the coco treatment and get a month long celebration.

On the other hand, lets say Marine is dumb and works herself till she breaks, so she holds a 8 hour long final Kaerokie where she breaks her throat for good, and gives you a crying horse goodbye at the end of it, then quietly retires the very next day.

The Marine retirement would be far more impactful, since you never really would know why she flipped her shit and quit, and its far more dramatic than the Fubuki graduation, and people eat that up.

I can't see Cover being smart enough in its foreign dealings to do something like that.
Plus we have no records of such a company. If it exists, Cover has never mentioned it and nobody has found it.
And considering EN is not entirely located in the USA? You really see them setting up such companies in every country they hire in?
Canada, South Korea, Australia, Germany, USA and I think theres at least one more.
It's more likely they're doing a more typical international direct hiring scheme. In these circumstances the contract will state which company the contract is in for legal purposes such as employment law, which is generally the one most advantageous or convenient to the employer. In this case that's probably gonna be Japan, simply because thats convenient for Cover, Japanese autism, ease of acquisition for working visas and foreign workers having limited rights in Japan.

Which puts Cover in the position that their US based talents are basically untouchable in regards to legal consequences so long as they don't have any assets outside the USA and no plans to visit Japan ever again.
And of course so long as those talents don't make the mistake of engaging with the legal proceedings in Japan.
The USA has a long history of blocking foreign criminal and civil suits against their citizens. Even in regards to Japan where there have been multiple cases of US soldiers committing numerous crimes (smuggling, theft, rape and even murder) then escaping any legal consequences by just getting back to the US military bases in Japan before the Japanese police can catch them. Sometimes the US military has opted to dishonourably discharge those individuals, but usually they don't give a shit.
There was a recent case in the UK where the spouse of a US defence worker killed a British citizen by running them over, fled the country on the advice of and with the aid of the US government and the USA has consistently refused to extradite them and advised them against engaging with the legal proceedings in the UK.

So Gura and Ame could easily avoid any and all legal consequences for any actions they took in regards to Cover.

There's no single graduation that would mean the end of hololive, gura graduating would probably have the biggest cultural impact though since it would also take into account normies who don't even watch, maybe next to korone who would be the frontrunner if you excluded normies. Those are probably the only two that would make waves through the broader internet. It'd be like disney retiring mickey mouse as their mascot. He's barely used anymore and doesn't have a large dedicated audience, but people from boomers to children would react to the news. Logistically fubuki would probably have the biggest impact on hololive due to being tied to so many other talents and doing work behind the scenes.
However, none of that matters because the only metric that matters is which would make Watame the saddest and my underdog prediction would be Fauna since Sana already happened and Fauna is basically Watame's EN oshi

Gura on the other had is the most 'known' EN vtuber and if cons are anything to go by, Gura has by far the biggest representation in both cosplaying and the artist alley. The reason artist alley matter so much is that if you bring shit that's less popular to sell, you're taking risks on having unsold goods. If Pekora's gone, Hololive would still have Marine, Subaru and Korone for big numbers, and they'd still be a company with good talents and entertainment; but to most people Hololive would be "gone". 2020 Pekora was vtubing itself. 2020 Pekora was Hololive. For many, that never changed.

Eh, I know it was late 2020, but as a person who had never watched any vtuber prior, I was getting Korone shoved at me from the algorithm and saw her videos in my recc sidebar pretty frequently, so I'd say there's a little bit of that too for the worldwide recognition.

Maybe not go under, but it's definitely how the OVA would end. The virtual idol story of Subaru would be the Japanese 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' of hybrid films if put in the right hands.

Amelia Watson. Her leaving would kneecap EN tech and stream ideas. ID would also be indrectly affected since she also does a lot of their 3D stuff.

Sorry friend, Ame stepped back from the EN ideas girl. Kiara's been the new ideas girl for the last 6 months.

name one orginal stream idea Kiara has had in the last 6 months. All of them were derived from something Ame did first.

Yeah, I'd say Pekora has been more important for the JP audience at that time. On the EN side, Korone, Miko and Coco were probably the most recognized members for most of 2020, at least until the PekoMoon arc.

Are you serious? Her whole career was made from this and if she didn't got by chance in a subsidiary there's like 90% she would still be a 3 views.

Even then, now that she's calmed down on her outsider friends talk on stream/trying to make shit work with them (who would have guessed they disappeared when her numbers cooled off), there's really not too much beyond some retards here who would scream "WE WON" like they did anything if she actually left.

I think that the day she graduates is to do her thing irl, not to go back to being indie.

Many people in this thread both confusing popularity with real impact and have delusions about the importance of their oshis too. In fact, the Holo ship will always keep floating unless there's either a number of high profile graduations very close in time or if that graduations find their way as indies breaking the hololive walled garden.
Also, i'm so sorry but as much as she's the normies numberfag queen the rabbit isn't as important to the company in both innovation or connections with other chuubas. In general terms she's just a very average type streamer that bandwagons any popular trend.
It's just a question of time they would find someone else to fill that spot.

Kiara graduating would be a morale blow because you'd have to pry Hololive from her cold dead hands before she'd leave willingly

You are severely underestimating the role Pekora had in establishing the holobox and enriching it by keeping it fed with tourists ready to be turned into holofans. She historically lacked in other areas like interpersonal relations and idolshit in general, nobody is saying she's the ideal holomem (I'd probably put Miko or FBK above her in that regard), but she's pretty much the ideal streamer. A big part of Hololive's healthy streaming culture has been influenced by her and her streaming habits, and that's the bread and butter of any holomem. I'd say that easily makes her one of the most important contributors to Hololive.
