When hololive started they were promoted as vtuber idols and for the most part they still operate under idol industry rules. At least a few of the 50+ members would have announced they are married or have long term boyfriends if that was allowed by their employer. holofes which is the biggest hololive event of the year is an idol concert. Whether it is the lifetime contracts in gacha games or the special scenes in VIP cafe rooms they are still promoted as pretend girlfriends. Their are clearly hololive members that dislike this and want to be general entertainers but this is how hololive operates even in 2023.
