Been a vtuber for over a year now and get about 12 average views. It's not big but I've created a good network and I often get raids from streamers with over 20 viewers. Gonna be rebranding this year as well and had a lot of positive feedback on the new design.

I'm perfectly fine with slow growth, fast growth doesn't allow for the cultivation of a good reputation and makes you focus on numbers and keeping up with that growth rather than your image.

It's a combination of things:
- I was already modding for a community that was really enthusiastic about me getting into streaming
- I also play a rather niche JRPG that's gotten a lot more attention in the past couple years
- I always make sure to tag my country but stream at hours that are more suited for the US market which has gotten me a few people via recommendation
- Just be present in streams for people a little bit bigger than yourself, contribute positively to the streamer as a chatter by giving them ways to interact like asking questions or opportunities for funny moments
- Find yourself a niche theme in terms of what sort of vtuber you are and often times you'll find a small community of other vtubers in that niche that support each other (ie. I've seen a discord for alligator/crocodile vtubers before)
- Get yourself some good branding, especially in terms of your overlay. People will see that and see you're more than some hobbyist and have a better impression of you from the start

I guess it depends on when most people come to Twitch. I may be mistaken, but my own experience from this week tells me the 5PM slot might be unreliable because people might have tasks to do after job.
For example, this week, after introducing a stream schedule for the first time, I planned to start my streams at 6PM. I had to delay some of the streams by 5 to 10 minutes because of extra tasks, such as going to the store, having to take a shit after the work, or having to go to the police to report my new address. Tommorrow, I'll have to go there again in order to request a new ID card because of the address change. Jesus guys, treat your raiders well. Getting raids (especially repeated ones from the same person) is one of the fastest ways to get new viewers. The viewers from those raids also often help to catapult you up towards the top of your category vastly increasing the amount of exposure and clicks you get on your stream. Ive streamed classic roguelikes quite a bit. Not a huge audience for them, so if thats all you do you are probably going to have a hard time getting to 10 ccv, with maybe an absolute max audience of 30 maybe. If you want to stream roguelikes that nobody else streams I highly recommend finding discords dedicated to those games, and discords dedicated to classic roguelikes in general, to shill yourself on. This is actually a really good way to get new viewers to watch you for those games, enthusiast for those games tend to be really hungry to watch a good streamer play their game but don't necessarily look at twitch for them because nobody ever plays them.

Roguelites seem to get much better audiences, at least if you keep up with new releases and hop to new popular releases. You could easily specialize in just roguelites and get a good audience going in my opinion.
