I had my first contact with music through singing in a choir when I was very young before puberty hit and I had a very high pitched voice.
It was a bit more professional than from a school and was from a bigger only half serious music school in the area.
I don't remember well but we had training vocal exercises similar to what Watame had in her Watame no Utas at the end.

It ended after my voice started changing and I could not fit in the group.
I also had a bad experience in the last live singing performance we had as I almost lost consciousness during the performance and felt like there was no oxygen but managed to power through it without making an incident.
Maybe the room was not ventilated properly. I don't know what happened.

After that I pivoted to violin and 2 years later to piano but I mostly half-assed everything and never did it seriously although my neighbor who was a very narcissistic and jewish musician in an orchestra complained to my music school that I played the Für Elise too often at a time.

I like to whistle a bit some songs now, but may try to learn to sing again one day.
