512x768 would scale up to 1024x1536. if you wanted 1152 height, width would've been...1728. idk about the rest of y'all, but if there's any meaningful amount of NovelAI in whatever model mix I am using, sticking to 2:3/3:2 gens that have 512 or 768 as one of the "before hi-res-fix" dimensions has always served me best unless I'm doing something fucky like "resize seed from"

I am actually pretty experienced with SD, irt the resolution stuff you've mentioned. But probably useful for others. I leave it extra wide because it tends to improve the pose at the cost of lower reliability of the prompt.

Other negative tips if we're just sharing them - I have made a style for the schizo negative and bad prompt:0.8. With styles you can just select them in the boxes under "generate", don't have to apply them, if they're selected they're automatically appended. They're much more useful for quick changes than people seem to use them for.

I like having Botan showing off her teeth but the AI is a pain at doing animal fangs (it's much better at general purpose sharp teeth) so I gave up and had her close her mouth.
Also for some reason I'm having lots of issues with AI generation today, keeps saying I'm out of memory but I'm doing the same resolutions as usual.
If I put it on MedVRAM it works, but it's way slower. Much Much slower than MedVRAM was the past times I tried it.

i know you guys obviously are okay with ai art (no shit) but do you think the general populace (that obviously also hate ai art) would accept ai art if it was utilized as say... a tool for artists to learn?

im curious, i've had the thought often times that if an artist could use ai art to figure out what could be done better/differently they could probably become much better at drawing.

For sure, I need more negatives and weight more of those simplistic tags to get it right and even then when upscaling it adds lighting and shading that wasn't supposed to be there.

I haven't really testes hypernetworks or loras, so maybe these can be more impactful in getting the plain styles in these models.

That's specific to AOM2 stuff though, like Creamsicle I guess. Anything using AOM1 doesn't have that in it. And unironically mixing the AOM1/HLL mix into HoloElyV2 basically gave me what I wanted, EerieOrangeMix adds ElysiumV2 and I don't think AOM does.

From my findings, my personal opinion would be that Creamsicle SFW is the most consistently high quality model. Next I would say Chuubas-AnyEly 2 followed by Strawberry Goodshit and AbyssOrangeChuubas. HoloNuts is good too but more inconsistent in quality.

The main reason I use non-Karras DPM++ 2M, even though for certain models I have to bump up the steps a lot, is that Karras has this weird behavior where it doesn't replicate an image well in batches (legacy issue) and also hiresing with karras samplers can get weird.

And in the end, the important thing is there are a lot more good mions out there now

After going back and comparing them to the old ones, I think you're mostly right. The new model is more likely to generate passable ones but the top end of quality is not really that different from before. So I guess it's easier to just roll the RNG until you get one but you will still likely have to settle for something that looks off. I think the only real improvement is that there is more colour difference between the dark skin and the light skin without having to rely on heavy tag emphasis

NTA, but that's what I'm trying to say. Using the NAI negatives on one of the *orangemix based mixes didn't work out too well for me, but the colab is off so I can't go make some examples. Not using the right negatives =! out of the box. The sampler works more than fine on other models.
Also, I didn't take all of their instructions at face value, especially since there's very little Abyss left in what I'm using now. Namely CFG 4-8. If I wanted chinkmagic images I'd just use their tags. Also even with DPM++ SDE Karras I stick to 28 steps.
