Did you properly use a VAE? It CANT get desaturated if you use a VAE (unless you manually prompt it to have desaturated colours).

If you're trying to cut an existing image to use as a PSD for a live2D, you just need to lasso tool off all of the parts you want to move individually and put them on a separate layer. Group together similar layers (Mouth, hair, eyes, etc.). Move them all together and paint in parts that might be visible if parts over them might move. The more layers you have the more detail in the movement you can get in the model.

What I would actually recommend doing if you're going to start from scratch is to draw the general profile of the head, hair and body, and leave the face blank. Draw facial features like eyes and irises, mouth, and eyebrows separately then you can edit and resize them onto the face. You'll need to have the full eyeball drawn as well as a full open mouth anyways, and you can just copy/paste the eyes over so you can have symmetry. This way you don't have to redraw the full thing later when you need to.

I love listening to our girls, but one critique I have for Nyana and some of the other girls if they want something to work on.
They need to really project high notes more. They are falling back to a softer breathy high note which makes it sound very amateur on songs that require a stronger high note. If you physically can’t do that, then go down a key or two so you can and practice your high notes for the future.

Again I enjoy watching and listening to them have fun, but it’s something to note for the future if they want some honest critique.

So I just watched the Nyana singing stream because the thread was saying how amazing it was. And not gonna lie guys, from someone who doesn’t watch Nyana a lot, that was mid at best. I hope you will let me give a bit of critique, because imo that’s one of the primary functions of the thread. First, let me say Nyana, I know you read these threads and this is not a personal attack, but hopefully helpful criticism to make you a better singer and streamer, because I really do like your content.

It looked like Nyana had a lot of fun out there singing and her fans responded in kind. I think, in the end, this is what matters to your fans if you are having fun. Taking short intermissions to talk and change stuff around was a nice touch and gives it an air of professionalism. She clearly prepped songs beforehand and being able to go into a song knowing the lyrics and pitch without having to “follow” the song is good work. Overall Nyana really seemed like she put in a good amount of effort for this and it showed. I want to make that clear that she did a fantastic job on the backend/prep side of things, which is a clear strong suit of hers.

>Negatives
I’m going to come out and say it, her singing is mid at best. There wasn’t really a song I can point to in her sets and say “wow, that was impressive” or “I can’t wait for that song to be clipped to be able to listen to it by itself” like I would with Minna, Sena, or even Minta. I found myself tuning her out as I was doing other things which is not what you want if you are looking for new viewers. All that being, said there is potential there, but she is very raw and will need a lot of refinement to be a solid singer. Another anon earlier said it well, in that she needs to work on projecting her voice and not sounding squeaky or airy on high notes. She also might want to consider learning a bit of vibrato, which can be hard for new singers. She mentioned at the end that she doesn’t sing much so all of this is completely understandable.

Sorry if this came off a bit harsh on the singing, but I think the amount of “omg so perfect” in thread may give positive reinforcement but won’t help a bit in the long run and I wanted to balance it out a bit.

What doesn't help is that she mostly sang songs she did in the last karaoke she did, but at these early stages I can understand sticking to the songs you know helps with improvement. It was very nice to listen to on my break. She has the potential, just needs some lessons, and to a lesser extent the right equipment and some EQ work. Things that come with time.
