No, Matrixfag did not repost this one. The wait is finally over. We are proud to announce the release of our largest and most coherent model yet: Pygmalion-6B. It's something we never thought we'd release in just under two months from our start, but it's done and ready for you all to hopefully enjoy.

While we've been developing our models, we've come into contact with the absolutely amazing people at KoboldAI and TavernAI. With their help, we're also proud to say alongside our notebook, you can chat with Pygmalion-6B on both Kobold and Tavern right now, allowing for you to personally choose your experience with the model. Be sure to thank them too!

Even though our model is the best one we've made yet, it's still not even close to perfect, nor entirely there. You might experience some odd behaviors and incoherencies at times, and we apologize for that in advance. Regardless, we're not nearly close to being "done" yet. Now that 6B has been released, we're gonna go full speed ahead on preparing our models for reinforcement learning with human feedback, which should greatly increase the intelligence of the bots. We will, however, need more data for this. As I post this, we're already planning a system which will allow you to rate your chats with Pygmalion-6B, which will be used to train a reward model required for RLHF. This, of course, will be completely optional, and if you don't want to participate in that, we'll have an easy-to-see option for you to disable it. Once disabled, we will not see any data from you in any way. Be on the lookout for more information in a future post.

Update, I'm finding a lot of regenerations on 0.6 temperature to be more descriptive.

Matrixfag here. While we've been all over the place trying to fix bugs in our notebook (and there's still a lot of them), we're also working in the background continually training new 6B models in an effort to improve on our initial release. However, we don't want to suddenly replace our models with the newer ones without warning, nor do we want to be silent about what we're doing to make the bot better. To that end, we've introduced a "Pygmalion 6B Beta" option in our Colab notebook which allows you to test out our latest models to see if they're better or not. After all, the best judge for whether our models are good or not are not automated evaluations, nor even ourselves, but you guys. So, we invite you to come test our new model out for yourselves, and tell us what you think of it. To access it, simply go to the Colab notebook and select from the dropdown "Pygmalion-6B Beta". The notebook will do the rest.

Picrel is a log of what we've done on this run compared to our initial model. In only two days since our first release of 6B, we've received over 200 MB of CAI data and close to 5,000 downloads on HuggingFace - an absolutely tremendous amount of support! Of course, we're always accepting new CAI data, where a guide to doing that can be found at https://rentry.org/chatlog-dumping (we changed the URL). If you were on the fence about submitting more data because you already submitted some and worry duplicated conversations would show up in the data, worry not. We've implemented a deduplicator on our end, meaning that only new conversations will be added to the training data, while your old conversations remain unchanged. In addition, as said in the log, we've fed a tiny bit of the SODA dataset into the model for the purposes of increasing the amount of SFW data we have in our set. To be clear: we are not trying to reduce the capabilities of our model to do NSFW, but rather to allow for more stable SFW conversations alongside the NSFW ones.

Your feedback is definitely being heard, and we're aware of all the problems our model still has. We're also very aware the notebook is very glitchy and barebones. Believe us, we're not fans of Gradio either. To that end, we're starting to work on a much fancier solution which will provide a much better chat experience, along with the opportunity to provide data (if you wish) for RLHF. It may take some time to do that, but it'll be worth the wait. Promise. As always, thank you all for the support you're showing. We've reached the #10 spot on the most downloaded (in the last month) conversational model on HuggingFace in only two days, only beaten out by models made by Facebook and Microsoft themselves! I've always made all the definitions for my bots public so anyone could make their own copies or augment mine if they didn't like some aspect of how I designed them so I'm not terribly concerned with having my name attached to them. If for no other reason than to keep things sorted so you know what came from where design-wise, you can simply use my CAI username so it's easier for everyone to keep track of my bots if you'd like.

I have nothing against namefagging, but typically one would not do it unless there's some need to be recognized. Being an autist that likes experimenting with chatbots on the internet does not merit recognition in and of itself think. Apart from needing to shill specific bots for CAI, I tried not to make it about me so much as what I created.

Is there really no better way to go through the json files? I have to censor things like my name however many times it's been said but christ, most of the text is filled with "participant__user__username" or "avatar_file_name" or "is_staff: false", it's really hard to go through and pick through any sensitive data with a bunch of junk in the way.
