I was wondering how you would install extra models using the cloud paper space to do the AI stuff. Would it be like if you were doing it on the computer install and just placed them in the folder with the other ones?

I tried that yesterday, and while it appeared in the web app when I tried to select it, it just defaulted to the other ones.

Managed to push out one more embedding for today: henreader.
Similar to what's linked in the goldmine, I started by acquiring the 311 henreader images on gelbooru, then trimmed that down to 151 by removing duplicates, images with large amounts of text, rough sketches, monochrome images, and other material I found unsuitable. Hopefully, this curation should result in a better embed overall compared to the previous one.

I have updated my now christened "the other LORA rentry" with some useful findings.

TL;DR:
Network dim size: The higher, the better fidelity, slower, bigger files (but only like 1.3MB x size)
After testing seems the best for characters is somewhere from 96 to 256, 160 being "good enough" in my tests, but more complex/unique characters might benefit from going up to 256.

! For styles, I don't really have a good training set, but all evidence points towards "the higher the better" or "as high as your hardware can take". Above 256 inclusive seems it's going to be better to train styles. Since most people seem to be doing styles, crank it up if your LORA came out weak.

Multiple concepts in one LORA:
Possible, but you must tag everything. I have done a test model with a character and stuff like glitter/sparkle FX and skies, and the results were good, it did improve stuff for those concepts and didn't bleed into the character unless prompted for.
I'm hypothesizing adding suitable images of hands in a separate folder of a training set might fix issues if you only got a few pics of a character and they all happen to have shit hands,

Reminder the Kouhya scripts can also train dreambooths. Might perform better than the webui extension. Dreambooths still have use, so pointing it out.

Tagging or no tagging:
Yes to tagging for characters, optional for styles. Remember this shit works like "here's some noise, find the things containing THE SPECIFIED words in this noise", and the noise comes from your training sets, and the words from your tags. So the tags are better. When it works without the tags is because you have dumped your character/style all over tags like "1girl", "solo" and such. While this might be desirable since LORAs are modular, you lose the ability to weight or use prompt editing without an associated trigger, so keep that in mind.

That is all for now. I'll be preparing a reference guide on how to deal with characters that are obscure so you can get by without good fan works or official art.
I mostly post this stuff on /sdg/ but since this general is also into it, better spread the results of my sciencing. I see a few misconceptions going around and I am making sure to test everything first.

My focus is entirely on characters but I'll keep posting findings highly relevant to styles if they stand out while doing characters.

Text encoder learning rate:
The sacred japanese ninja scrolls by Kouhya say he's had reports of using a different learning rate for the text encoder, specifically 5e-5, improves results. Can confirm, it did improve results for my character models, might also do for styles.
The command line argument is --text_encoder_lr="5e-5"
I added it to my sample bash script, it should be easy to convert it to powershell or just paste it (--text_encoder_lr="5e-5") as-is without variables or anything. I put it under main learning rate so they are close by, but you don't have to.

You are welcome! Since I'm researching might as well compile my notes. The better all of us get at this, the better in the long run for everyone. We can squeeze some more juice out of this as we are.
My main motivation is resurrecting abandoned or obscure characters (like I sloppily tried with Sana) so I got enough drive to test some numbers or read the ninja scrolls. It's not fun if I'm the only one drawing them, and most people won't care enough to even for money, so let's teach this puppy some tricks now that it runs locally.
Of course, that's relevant for this place because there are some cute indie vtubers someone will want to make a LORA of and my findings shall be useful to that anon eventually.

A game so girly that Yoshi was the manly alternative...).
