The example they had a horse, a pond and a house in specific positions and the AI was able to generate the image in that manner.

I have, but only for characters. They work really really well and only took 25 minutes to train in my 1070, and I trained a character with almost no good images to work with and no presence in the NAI model, and it just works. It's fucking magic.

I haven't tested it extensively for styles, only characters, but it worked great with a shit dataset. The character is unrelated to vtubers tho, don't wanna waste image slots with unrelated examples, but been posting about it on /sdg/ along scripts and observations and recommendations and stuff.

Tagging is important, make sure all images are tagged with the artist name so it can be triggered in a prompt. Tag any elements you'd like to switch on and off or existing tags you want to be influenced by the style. From my limited style testing that should help, but I can't go more in depth, didn't make enough tests yet. But yeah, tags can break a model with good images, it's finicky and can require a few tries, from what I've found in my tests.

Without the tagging there WILL be influence but it won't be as stable. The AI just doesn't know what to do with what it's "seeing", so to speak, it'll pick up only bits and pieces. Using this I managed to transfer a coloring, body shape and face style reliably in a throwaway test model, but everything else sucked because I didn't tag anything else. I believe you don't need to make it "art by XXXXX", I just put "XXXXX" and it worked. You could tag all "kajsdahsdiahgeryg" and it'd work, to be honest, but better use something easy to remember.
Make sure to remove spurious tags or incorrect positives (there will be many), seems those "contaminate" the model in ways I'm not educated enough to explain yet. My old Sana embed could have been much better if I had known this, but it was so slow to figure things out then.

I think there's a better, native desktop tool, but this works in Linux so I stuck with it and it works nicely.

Also depends on number of images, I believe you need a few more for styles. Add horizontally flipped versions if you haven't.
At least with these training times it's not a tragedy to have to adjust them and start over. I did a few times for my first "perfected" character LORA and it's extremely good at version 3, even with a detailed dress, all the parts properly defined 90% of the time and allowing to add or remove them from prompt. And there's still room for improvement if I wanna bother making a v4, but I'm satisfied until I decide who to train next.

Good luck. It's finicky and can take a couple tries, but that is true of every other training method. We just don't lose entire days if we fail now.

LORA is not an embedding. It's more like a dreambooth, it does teach new things. The files are tiny only because it's saving the difference.

I've spent the last two days perfecting a model and doing testing, not talking out of my ass. Very satisfied with the results too (considering I only had 20 pics of mediocre fanart to work with, it's fucking magic indeed. I did need to draw a few pictures for specific details though, but in most cases you won't need to go that far unless your subject as obscure as mine)

It is USED similar to a hypernetwork, but that's only because someone figured out how to remove the requirement of merging it with the base model to get basically a dreambooth. But this current solution is much more convenient, allows keeping the smaller files and stacking more than one (or quick-switching them, maybe for inpainting) at a time, so it's fucking great. The only cost is like half a second before generating.
Hypernets are still fine for styles though, this is a better fit for characters, as far as I tested. And thank god, imagine having 2GB per character.

It's more like a dreambooth and can learn new things easily and in just a few minutes. The method happens to resemble hypernets because someone was very clever, otherwise they'd have to be merged with the base model to get, basically, a 2-7.8GB dreambooth.
I've used it for characters for results that make no sense being possible, it's that good. Even a 5-minute shit put together mech model did get amazing results in getting cool parts out there.

I'm not a very technical person, I just know that there are five slots and you can chain them together with varying strengths while also using hypernetworks. I see it as more style mixing to experiment with although as stated above people can also train characters. This one is using the afrobull LoRA with the hypernetworks.

the results don't seem better than hypernetworks. Is the only benefit that you can combine them? If you've trained them yourself how does the RAM usage compare to dreambooth? I dropped those for hypernets since I couldn't game while training dreambooth on 24GB VRAM

Made them myself. Only needs 8GB, I have a 1070, took 25-ish minutes, about 5 of them being loading all the files from a not-very-fast disk. Note that the tagging is very important, the more insistent, pedantic and clean the better. Do not use the webui dreambooth extension, it's trash, look for the kouhya script, all the things you need to know are in English, if you need more I got a small rentry with a bash script and some useful notes, if you are on windows I know /hdg/ has put their own guide up, it's more windows-focused, and who cares who wrote it as long as it helps.

It also works for styles from what I tried, but it's not an area that interests me as much, so only made some throwaway tests, which seemed to confirm that...it works okay. I'm more about characters, so someone else might be more qualified to compare. Give it a week or so, at this speed someone will have surely trained a few dozen styles by next weekend.

I'm not joking about the efficiency for characters though. I managed to get an obscure character working with tears-of-happiness-inducing accuracy, and I know for a fact she was impossible with embeds and hypernetworks, (no artwork in boorus, therefore not in NAI) and since I can now improve my tags faster (because I get results in minutes instead of days), I get better results than a normal dreambooth. It's a pity I didn't know what I learned these last two days when making the Sana embed, it'd have nourished sanalites better until HLL gave us salvation.
