I stopped when my oshi told his fans that he plans to continue for a long time so I know he is happy with where he is now and it can only go upwards from here. There is also something good about them having relatively low numbers like they still can hand-sign postcards for all their fans or leave likes on twitter replies or fanart. I don't expect them to do that forever but I enjoy it while they still have that kind of time.

I genuinely love him and want nothing but the absolute best for him and for more people to love him as much as I do which is why it’s downright frustrating to watch his decline especially compared to last year. A lot of his streams used to do well and now he’s lucky if any of his vods can reach 10k views, much less 5k. It's very impressive as a side thing, but to grow holostars they really need to have the drive to push the brand forward. Someone like Astel and Rikka or even Aruran. I don't know how to explain this but I guess they need to be someone who is actively seeking to try out new things or pushing themselves out there, rather than waiting for opportunities to fall onto their laps. Every time I see uproar I think to myself how holostars would have been much bigger if they had been the one debutting first (shit management aside). The Jump Uproar show is something I will never imagine the OG9 ever doing, and it shows how Uproar is willing to put in their all to bring their brand out to the world.
Sometimes I feel bad for Astel being in holostars because he (and a few others) try so hard to push themselves out to the world, but not everyone is willing to put in their all like them.

Yeah. I was gonna mention that too. That episode left a bad taste in my mouth because it's one of the few episode that I found actually funny to watch but they just canned that idea away. Not to say that they should subject themselves to something that they find it "NG," but it just shows how much they are willing to put themselves out their for the content.

The start of Wacha was so good, maybe it wasn't as crazy as Jump Uproar but it was fun and it was about the members. The guest spam killed it and it's telling the show went on break after a few episodes of Jump Uproar.

That said, I think some fault also lies in OG9's fans. A lot of them are pretty sensitive to how the boys get treated and have complained about it. Not just on official streams but even just banter between members makes them upset sometimes. Astel talked about it and how the members actually hold back quite a bit because of it, and that staff treads carefully about what to do with them, too.

Thanks to this discussion I now have a rrat that this is the reason why majin barely collabs with other stars. Besides the obvious reason of him being super introvert who enjoys solo the most I mean. Relaxed Majin has the type of banter that seems to make even Roberu have difficulty catching those curveballs. But he does catch them, trait that Majin has expressed really liking about Roberu before.
If management tells the stars to hold back on banter it's likely Majin might feel it's too stressful to worry about that during collabing and thus withdraws.

I remember someone as well pointed this out on here and it makes me wonder if any Familiaran were really pissed off by that. When Holostars debuted, there was an actual ban on interaction between them and Hololive, like the official twitter even outright told people not to mention Holostars in Holo chats. Hilariously some of the Holo girls were still collabing with men from other companies during this, but it was around this time the company culture started shifting to what it is today (especially since sankisei debuted a month after Miyabi), ie to be an idol you can't interact with men. This ban was eventually lifted and some HoloJP members like Fubuki and Matsuri reached out to them, but the damage was done and a clear separation had been drawn between HoloJP and Stars.

I've heard Yagoo regretted this ban but I don't know the source of that.

HoloID 1 and Stars 3 debuted around the same time. Indonesia doesn't have expectations of "idols" like Japan does so they were open to talking with and collabing with Stars and became close since they were all new. You would expect EN to be the same but they followed JP's model for some reason.
