Perhaps this is just me coping but this situation could be quite something if the stars align. To me EN has lost it's edge. Stream hours have decreased, sub growth has slowed, and general momentum is down. Many EN feel as though they've lost the drive to put out content and are just going through the motions. The EN environment we have now seems to be set for the foreseeable future. However, this isn't the first time Hololive experienced a time like this. There was a time when people said that there were already too many holos and that there was nothing more anyone could bring to the table. Back when having 150,000 subscribers was considered a healthy amount. A period where there was a firmly fixed perception of what Hololive was. It was in this environment, however, that produced an exception. A new girl who recognized what she was getting into and went to task. Through honest hard work, an innovative creative vision, and just a bit of luck she managed to set herself apart. From there she was able to not only grow her own channel and body of work, but expand the presence of her branch and hololive as a whole. Soon enough hololive had the resources and the sway to break out of Japan and into the international stage which got us HoloEN. Perhaps, in this current environment we find ourselves in, it can produce a girl who can lead us into a new epoch for Hololive.
