Feeling really discouraged that I clearly didn't pass auditions again. I'm fairly certain I've improved my audition every time I sent one, and my content has been getting more recognition lately, but I never get more than 1 view on my auditions with only seconds of it watched. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, when I've heard stories of people throwing their audition together in movie maker and getting in. Any advice? I really try to make the first 30 seconds catching and show off my experience during that time frame as well to no avail.

Does your audition start with a self intro? pass
Does your audition start with your voice up in your throat from anxiety? pass
Does your audition start with a lore video? pass
Does your lore video have an intro with more than 3 seconds before the first line of dialogue? HARD PASS

Basically for an audition you have to turn yourself into the biggest attention whore possible without passing too far over the obnoxious line. Start with a funny clip, a witty remark, a sus line of dialoge. Avoid starting with a scream clip.
You have 2 seconds to grab a crumb of their attention to not turn off the video
If you pass this, you have 10 seconds to generate a pinch of interest or set up a joke
If you pass this, you have 30 seconds to deliver a punchline or resolve a tension or finish a thought that will leave a lasting impression
If you can get past 30 seconds then you can go into more detail about yourself.
You need to distill down your best parts and most memeable self into those first 10-30 seconds. You have zero room to make a slow burn audition.

I have used my skills outside of applying for corpos to decent reception so far, but I guess I should try and build up my following even more and stream a bit more often. I'll try and just keep doing that and maybe try and make a better audition tape next time.
