Maybe I'm getting something wrong, but I do recall during a Q&A during her subathon that she did say she applied for a corpo but pretty much got rejected outright, which is safe to assume that corpo being Hololive as she immediately added that she didn't like Niji's strategy of ACCELERATE.

She did also add that at this point she has no intention to join any corpo as she would have to start over from scratch, and depending on the corp she wouldn't be able to collab with her friends anymore; there's no chance Cover would ever agree to a collab with someone like Moriko.

Nijisanji has existed for SIX YEARS. Their strategy has worked just fine, you live and die by your own merits and everyone gets the same copy/paste b-day merch. They got people that barely stream and only do voice packs or show up for special events.

Maybe Nina should educate herself opening her mouth. She would easily stand out in nijisanji and carve out a niche for herself.

Keep in mind that HoloEN probably doesn't even get many applications and you probably won't get anything of the sort. If you were an indie or even in a small corpo and saw the complete clusterfuck HoloEN has become, would you apply? Would you join? The answer is no. The Hololive brand doesn't carry any weight anymore and the behind the scenes stuff like management is utterly incompetent and dysfunctional. You'd have to be dumb as a sack of bricks to apply, and talents know this. Girls talk and my bet is that many of them probably know more than we do in terms how bad HoloEN really is at this point. No sane chuuba would apply. It carries no prestige and no benefits, just immense pressure to "save the branch" coupled with shit management and a whole lot of drama and baggage. Joining Hololive at this point is just an excellent way to destroy your career as a vtuber.

Complete falsehood. Remember Kizuna AI and Kaguya Luna? Vtubing can and already did survive a complete armageddon, it will do well with or without Hololive and/or Nijisanji. If anything we're seeing another revolution, where the two big players and Hololive especially are filtering themselves out of the game via bad decisions and being out of touch. This is making the scene a lot more heterogeneous in terms of style and content, and paradoxically companies like Idol and kawaii are more true to the idol spirit of vtubing than the Japanese. The future of vtubing is unironically bright, it just doesn't include Holo and Niji. It will be composed of small corpos and big indies, and nobody will be the dominant company. This will result in healthy competition and diverse schools of vtubing, with their own flavor, style and content. Essentially, the duopoly is dying and their death is evident in the fact they've become far too similar in content. This is entirely Hololive's fault. They fucked themselves into pieces.
