I think critique anon is right tho. I've asked myself "other than being apart of the cool kids club of being an OG fan, what do the girls actually offer me"? Nyana has good video highlights, Sena has good in character content with knowledge, Minna is mom vtuber, brolime has in character content but is male so he's kneecapped, and Minta just have deranged zatsu. The other girls are just kinda mid. They're not bad, but if they weren't in flaVR I sure as hell wouldn't be watching them, I'd click on another streamer, probably one with a L2D at the least. Don't get me wrong, I love the sovl and the "doing this for fun", because I'm basically here for just that, but if we expect any more growth, quality is going to need to improve. I love the cute voices each character has, and their gimmicks, but there are thousands of other vtubers with cute voices and gimmicks, there's gotta be something more on the table as time goes on

NTA but I agree with your overall point of "they need to improve if they expect growth." But I'm also of the opinion that it's only been a month and they are all still learning, so I don't expect sudden change from any of them. The point of this whole thing for me is a psuedo-learning group for beginners to learn with a live/active audience and grow at their own pace. Nyana is a good example of this, as she's taken to the whole thing in stride, even if she's already streamed before. Her tech side is solid, she's doing work outside stream with clips, she's actively seeking out advice, during stream she hits all the good streamer habits like saying hello/goodbye to every name in chat. For us, it's pretty much a sovl and effort harvest. I love watching new chuubas because of how raw the experience is. Grooming aside, they make the viewing experience scuff enough to find quite endearing.

But overall, yes, they will eventually need to improve as streamers, but I think #1: they know that #2: we don't need to rush them ,they will get there eventually if they really want it.

What matters is that you have fun. If you enjoy it just do it. It doesn't matter how good or bad you are some people will show up to it. Those who don't enjoy it can just skip the stream.
Or as others have suggested, just have a secret karaoke ending that way you don't have to give up a whole stream for karaoke.
I think consistent practice under the spotlight really helps vtubers improve at it.
I think the best role model for this is Pippa. She started at negative skill and has slowly become semi decent at it through consistent practice even if it's just a little every stream.
Her karaoke streams are still relative debuffs compared to the rest of her content but even if they filter maybe 40% of her audience there's still 60% left there cheering for her.
I enjoy your karaoke for what it is. Something amateur someone is doing for fun.
There will always be a few dumb loud people who will complain the amateur karaoke is not professional but it's the internet there will always be someone complaining about some shit.

Since someone mentioned 3D concert here, I thought i give it a try and see how well it runs. Some of the lighting scripts broke when exporting it into a prefab, but overall this is usable with some changes. I could imagine turning this into an underground concert stage which is a lot more crammed and give it some FlaVR branding to give it that truly indie feel.

You can add your model, and obviously add tracking and even movement to it, but there is a performance overhead for this. It's going to be fine for the most part if you don't have much else running, but absolute potatoes won't be able to do it. (it adds like 20% CPU and 25% GPU load on average for me with a 3700X and 2060 base). I can cut down the effects and add aggressive LoDs also cut away everything outside of the stage that should optimize it.

Now how to get everyone in there at the same time... you'd have to come up with a proprietary solution or just do it in VRChat desu.
