Positive: Lots of good events like HoloFes, HoloSummer, and many memorable 3D lives and streams. HoloX wasn't a smashing hit but it wasn't bad.
Negative: Rushia's shitshow.

Positive: Mindshare for EN remains strong.
Negative: Lack of events and even when they got them they were either sidelined, botched, or the girls had to organize everything themselves and rely on third parties. Lack of streams, many breaks and a horrible handling of drama like the Tempus situation.

Positive: ID3 was a massive hit that inclined the entire branch, ID1 had a memorable 3D debut.

The anon last thread who talked about identifying audiences was right, but probably not in the way he wanted to be. The StarsJP demographic is too small. The fans of male idols or worse, generic streamers, don't have a larger audience to draw on to let them grow. I would say the majority of Stars fans right now are just cross-watchers from the girls, especially so for StarsEN. If you want to grow from their existing identified audiences, the answer would be to grow the girls' audience and leech the splashover from people willing to watch Stars.
I think it's too late for StarsJP. People already have their initial impressions of them they aren't able to break that mold, Roberu excepted. Help Stars grow their own audience by accelerating StarsEN2 and StarsEN3, segregating them strictly from the girls, and invading other communities much like Hololive did up to 2020. You need to take several shots at this, so grow the branch to 12-15 members and have them niche heavily, have a Vox-clone, have a few brotubers Vesper style, have a few k-pop boys, have an outside collab whore Roberu-style, etc. Identify the communities that will act as the larger demographic for their audience and target them, so have the Vox clone go after Taiwanese women, point the boomers at older Twitch audiences, have the k-pop boys simulstream to TikTok, and so on. Not every shot will succeed but that's why you take a dozen shots. If you gather up some new demographics, then strongly integrate StarsEN into StarsJP events and use them as audience catchers, much like every Hololive event draws in HoloJP tourists. This will let StarsJP catch more arcs on their own merits as their awareness will be higher.
This won't work without strong segregation from Hololive, or else incompatible fans will mix and the results will be oil and water.
