HoloEN as a whole is simply declining this year. Falling CCVs, no new blood unless you count Tempus. None of CouncilRys hit their million within their first year. Most of HoloEN suffer from occupational sickness etc. Fewer collabs aside from the surprise one this Chirstmas. Clippers dont even do their clip compilation this year. Where's that commitment?

Rather, NijiEN is creating a whole ecosystem with their new talents. They keep generating streams consistently across most of the global hours. I now watch more NijiEN than HoloEN.

I'm not really sure if NijiEN is picking up the slack from HoloEN. I think vtubing, especially the corporate japanese flavor, is just dying in the west. There isn't the audience for it. Zoomers tune in expecting to see "content" and get something else entirely. Outside of "content" streamers like Gura or clever streamers like Fauna who have found a niche, I think they are all going to go further downhill in terms of CCV.
