So I’ve had an idea for a species related to the shitbird but not aggressive. It’s called the newbeak for now but I might change the name. It has a similar appearance, but with a more brightly colored beak and smaller body size. It is less aggressive than the shitbird and is more solitary, only forming large flocks in response to strong rrats or when following a hype field. It has the ability to detect rrat and hype fields, becoming more defensive when in a rrat field and more gregarious and vocal in hype fields. Newbeaks are also known to be targeted by shitbirds, often harassed and sometimes even killed when alone.
I’m trying to figure out if I should add some more stuff to them!

Yea that's the reason, how does this magic harvest work exactly? Typically the reinflation of a Brapgul will occur 3 to 8 hours after deflation if the airsacs are still intact and 4 days to 2 weeks in the case of a rupture.
Reproduction for the Brapgul is signaled through a specific gas that a male uses when they've constructed a nest capable of housing a female mate during the mating season of the Brapgul. The female Brapgul will inspect the nest and should she find it to her liking, proceed in fertilization which is said to produce a unique scent that totally masks the scent trail to and from the nest to anyone but the two parents, making the eggs near invisible to possible predators. A better way of removing as much of the smell as possible would probably be some sort of drying, combined with smoking or other ways of imparting other flavors as well. (kind of like Japanese Himono) But it also depends on what exactly is causing the unpleasant smell. In fact, I don't think the flesh would have any strong smell at all. Skunks don't become inedible just because they can produce an extremely foul-smelling substance.
