Gamebu was at the height of their popularity, but as their popularity goes up and so does their ego but that's understandable we're talking about celebrities here, popularity is a big asset. Kaguya Luna / Pmarusama approached them, compared their earnings and told her gamebu friends that they were severely underpaid. The circle of friends voicing the characters of gamebu then made insane unsustainable salary hikes for a yet volatile unproven industry (hololive was still a drop in the water at that time). Painful but given the harsh unreasonable demands, Unlimited Co., Ltd management has to sadly let go of the characters' voice actors who didn't account for the costs of labor like video editing, scriptwriting, qa, etc they were so full of themselves when all they had going for them were the voices while Unlimited handles all the work and financial risk. Later it would be found that Pmarusama was going around giving the same bad advice to other vtubers believing she was 'helping' them leading to more big controversies like Kizuna AI graduating, turns out Kaguya Luna has been seducing and having affairs with the husband of Kizuna and making financial promises to him as the money from advices she made came at great costs, only later as p-marusama would this controversy become public after the second baby of Nozomi with the aforementioned husband. It's the one time sony made the right decision to drop a high grossing entertainer who wrecks the career of everything related to her and destroys families.

Brave Group Co., Ltd gave the full extent of their leniency. Parasocial fans would deny but there's undeniable evidence of the VA behind Saki Ashizawa breaking NDA for at least a few months, reusing assets provided by SuperYellow Inc as Suzullan without permission doing the same activities she does as Saki and destroying the overall image that her coworkers had worked hard upon. It was a clear attempt to sabotage her former workplace on her way out which nobody deserved, similar to someone at nijisanji who's now part of Avex Inc., who for some time stayed independent before being poached. None of the now big three used a ploy as bad as this and it doesn't take much to put two and two together. Only Avex has carefully created angles of narratives before making a move against competitors and the talents. That is how they rise up in a dog eats dog world, the prior promises they made to the girls are second thoughts. The poaching of talents is just a happy byproduct, what matters most is the damage in reputation against their adversaries without backfiring.

I've posted about karaoke clips here once before, as I also had some desire. But there are still so many questions I have,
and probably some are overlapped with yours. I don't think there are many EN fans posting karaoke clips in the first place. You qlwo have situations where people are dedicated to clip only a single chuuba, which is only good if you oshi for those specific chuubas.
I'd love a channel that featured high quality karaoke clips from channels of all sizes. It would be diverse in its selection of song type and be a great place to discover vsingers. Granted I'm talking from an outsider point of view, but your average /vt/ poster is not aware of most of our chuubas.
I still have a tendency to browse the catalog once or twice a day, and every once in a while I stumble upon people who think that vtuber music is inherently trash. I'd like to show 10 people that it's not true. I believe there are some people out there making awesome music if you leave your EN and/or corpo bubble.
It was the natural progression that Japan has more talent and diversity from the vtuber scene due to the utaite roots unlike the EN sphere. For example, if you a westerner and you want to sing you have less reasons to become a vtuber.
Anyway, it's just a long way of saying that I'd like to see a diverse lineup with the goal of increasing exposure on many people.
Unfortunately it would have to be focused on streamers and their karaokes, as there isn't really an easy way to clip vsingers that don't stream (isekaijoucho, etc). The EN listener would have to go a step further to discover original music. I'm not sure what the solution around that is, other than just ignoring those types of channels.
