Does any Hololive girl even do the first one? It feels nice to be remembered by a regular streamer that gets like a hundred viewers and there's a nice friendship established between you, but with Hololive VTubers you really only get the latter with girls calling the chat by their fanbase name, which can sound cringe when it gets to fanbase comparisons and 'rivalries'. So overall, neither, getting parasocial with a corpo is mega cringe, you watch it like a TV show.

Kronii and Kiara, they know a lot of their regular paypigs names and some characters that the chat has, sometimes they refer to them by their name. IRyS know some of the names that basically donate to her all the time, but she doesn't talk directly to them on stream by their name, but if you're lucky she writes something to you on your birthday if you tag her and put some hashtags

I prefer the kind that knows everyone in chat, engages even with gray names (though there aren't many) and notices if you miss a stream or are late.

Individual earns her lump sums, chat as a whole earns her bigger totals. I don't mind that she plays the field, this is a job and she's here to make money. If she ignores the big chatters/paypigs too much, she gets less pinks/reds, if she ignores chat too much beyond them, chat gets uppity. Delicate balance is needed. It's also the reason I don't really SC except the rare occasion/event.
