Ah, a fellow mapfag! If I may, I'd recommend making the maps in this order: Altitude->climate->mining and forests/crops->Cities->population densities. Because the earlier maps kinda affect the latter ones.
Also, you could base your maps on the 3.0 map instead of the one on the interactive map, as it's a bit more detailed. Ah, though someone would have to draw in the borders.

A bit ago I started work on force that acts somewhat similar to rrats but without a malicious energy behind it called hype. However, I am not good at writing this kind of stuff. this is what I wrote so far:
Hype is a form of psychic energy that forms fields. Hype manifests from the heavenly realm and enters the physical realm like a rrat but has an excited / positive energy rather than a malicious one.
Appearances of these fields is uncommon compared to rrats. They are also often shorter lasting compared to rrats, often reaching a peak of hype energy within the span of a few hours to a week or more in some cases after first appearing, then quickly dying down in energy before disappearing after.
Hype fields can be generated in a few ways. They can be created by Gods before an event, or can be created spontaneously through what are known as “kino moments”. Hype fields generated from kino moments are often very short lasting, but can be very powerful. Hype fields are also generated by Outer Gods prior to the creation of new Gods. In some rare cases, hype can be generated within the physical realm from things such as large sport events.
Hype has an effect on the minds of those under it’s influence, causing those affected by them to become more boisterous, happy, and excited.

To be honest, we have a nation that is nearly 75 years ahead on most tech (/who/) and /inf/ is around 1850 for many things too. I don't quite remember what you did but trust me when I say that tech timeloops are annoying and a pain in the ass. The main reason why I personally am ok with this is because I know it has little effect on the world around us since they will make like 1,000 at most and these things while being great rifles for target shooting aren't going to steam roll anyone miltary wise. Also believe me when I tell you I am well aware that the goalposts move all the time with this stuff from personal experience. If you want to share what it was again, feel free and maybe I can give you my thoughts.

/umami/ really doesn't exist outside of the basic concept but I think they tend more towards luring people that dont have families to be missed so as to not draw suspicion. The /umami/ architects probably wouldn't operate on the island, more as individuals with their own plump wives that they occasionally surprise with a bit more meat on their plate than usual, they'd be very careful not to do anything that arises suspicion since they wont have the support of any nearby architects or meatheads if they get caught.
If snagging a hag from /hag/ is too difficult, they'd just not do it.

I'll give a few pointers
For one, trying to provide this level of education to the entire population of hag seems a bit difficult to do. Especially as children of the working classes might be having to learn the techniques of their family work. In this case, I think having families sending a specific child to get an education and have all the others work for the family unit might be a more possible way to achieve this. Well, that or having it be limited to the higher classes.
The regulatory agency that might manage education could be the church, as that is where teachers could be educated from, in european societies, the only real way peasants could get an education was by getting church leaders to give the education, as climbing the social ladder by other ways involved becoming a mercenary, or getting a lot of money.
What I mean is, detailing the demographic that obtains education AND how that education is given, be it in local temples or large education centers are the important things to detail for now.

The RID would probably fuck you up, but you could probably steal it from /infinity/, or just straight up buy it from us, we have an arrangement with /mep/ where they commision important parts from us for their industry, parts that they can't make by themselves.
What I'm saying is: Getting the blueprints would probably be impossible for /v7/, but grabbing enough information from observation would certainly give quite an advantage into getting a headstart in the making of a engine. Hiring engineers who might be somewhat involved, making deals with the RID for exchanges (althought I'm not quite sure what could be exchanged), stuffs like that.
