I wouldn't know the specifics of the streamer because I didn't watch them, but this is a clear case of being made an example of. Yugo was probably offered two choices, leave now and get a release as seen in what happened, or get banishment room treatment until contract renewal and it will end then. Yugos choice was this. Thing is, Japanese companies need a damn good reason to fire someone because of the labor laws they have, so they most likely couldn't fire them on any grounds. Personally I would have gone the banishment room route but if you hate your job THAT much then by all means.

Yugo is a vtuber NijiEN put into Noctyx, because she had huuuuuuge PL numbers.
Unfortunately she debuted in a male wave, and decided to try playing a male talent (despite having a very obviously female-sounding voice). So everyone had to put up with the pretense of calling this person "he" all the time despite being very obviously female. The worst thing was, she didn't even speak English. Perhaps the thing she's most famous for is tweeting out a bunch of ESL gibberish that nobody can understand. Her whole Youtube channel is basically pandering to the JP audience.

Not only is she the wrong gender, not only is she ESL, but she's also a complete disaster as a livestreamer. Couldn't follow management directions, refused to do any planning or preparation for her streams, completely fucked up her debut because she's too dumb to get a livestream working (had to do a debut the next day instead). Always messing things up for everyone else in collabs. Like a recent example, during the great minecraft-mod collab she kept sabatoging photoshoots and group-moments acting like a spergy retard, even though everyone was telling her to stop it.
