A mix, not really a new model.
I wanted to see if I could get Elysium to do better character recognition for Holos.
I think I just got NAI on steroids, but still inferior to Elysium.
It does seem to be giving me a bit less awful hands on average, though it's hard to tell.
Art style is flatter and more anime I'd say.
As usual, modern Elysium looks like absolute shit.

I tend to make most of my images while I'm busy with something else not at my computer, so I have a lot of time to generate but not much time to actively babysit prompts or adjust things. Generally I'll just gen batches with various samplers/scales, pick a few that came out the best to upscale, and abandon all the weird ones.

And by abandon I mean leave to rot in my increasingly disorganized folder of 12k images that has absolutely no sorting

That's probably the highres fix upscaling. First pass 512x768, full size 1024x1536, denoising I find tends to work best around 0.6 but I sometimes play around with the 0.5-0.7 range. Above that tends to make mutants, below that the image gets very blurry (just my opinion though, feel free to go outside it yourself)

.... I guess I should have just catboxed it from the start since yeah I forgot about this, it's anything v3. You probably won't get it looking too similar with NAI, I personally find the differences between the two models are magnified a lot by the upscaling process.

So I have a new theory of why the embed has to be put in front of the prompt list in order to work.

I think its because the other embeds already kind of know the characters somehow and part of their weights gets put into the embed allowing it to work better with other prompts.
But these are just so recent that the model has no weights at all to go on so even prompts like best quality and masterpiece messes with it to much unless it is put at the beginning of the prompt list.

The t8 and t16 ones are trained to 10k steps with 0.005 LR
The t12 one I tried upping the vector count because experiments but im also using batching at 5 images to 2000 steps with 0.001 LR to prevent overtraining, a problem ive been having with my previous embeds, and deterministic sampling.
Batching allows for faster embed making, around 30 minutes vs 45 minutes without batches. The results have been just as good.
Right now im retraining the meloco embed because it was producing pixelated hair due to bad dataset image I think. Also running gradient accumulation at 5 with batch size of 1.
Its slower but shouldnt mean a single image should interfere with embed training too much.

So for batching it looks at 5 images at the same time. Working faster through the dataset. But updating the weights for every single ones.
Batching also increases vram use while training. With 5 I go from around 8-9 to 18-20. I think 7 is the max, with 8 I go out of memory and it slows down as it tires to push the excess over to the slower CPU ram.

With gradient accumulation it looks at 5 images, then updates the weights by averaging them

I tried to combine both methord but I think it borks itself. Atleast with 5 batches and 5 gradient accumulation. Might try with batch size 2.

The cheese might be part of the extra tokens that embed has. Im still unsure whether more tokens or less is better, Right now im going purely by guess. Complex character? Maybe try 12 or 16 tokens.

I did have like the {{}} and [[]] stuff set up on it, I have also found that if you want to really tweak stuff you can describe something like say long hair you can write (long hair:1.5) and it'll emphasis it pretty hard core, but be carful you don't go past two as its gets a bit crazy.
