As for me, I happened to watch Vesper's solo stream the other day (first time ever watching Tempus) and found it entertaining. I won't watch him often, but now I'm subbed. The problem with HoloEN is not Tempus, the problem is:
1. the girls are not streaming;
2. the girls are not streaming;
3. when they do, they are confused about what kind of viewership they want;
4. their management is completely useless, instead of giving guidance.

Serious answer? This is my rrat: They debuted Tempus in order to make it so that Anycolor didn’t have a monopoly on male vtubers. They know western audiences are less schizo about male collabs than Japanese audiences but not sure how much, so they left it up to the talents to figure it out.
They realized that except for Bae, none of the ones who collabed with males gave a shit about Hololive’s brand image and were causing reclines, so they had a “talk” with EN management and told them to stop being retarded. I have no problem admitting this. It’s the truth. I watched Tempus briefly after dropping HoloEN. In the end, it’s really hard to keep up with males if you only watch a few, so I slowly dropped them because of attrition.
I mean, my oshi mostly streams on twitch, but she’s my oshi so I still put in some effort. That kind of mental effort is much harder to do for a couple of brotubers who are kind of fun but not that related to the other people you normally watch.
