I may not watch vox that much, but his lore is equally heavy on setting buildup as well as putting his personal touch, so it's not just any cool story, it's HIS cool story. I think more personal lore like Vox does need someone that wants to develop it overtime at the helm. Vox said that he wanted to do some ARG type shit with his lore, so he really put a lot of thought into it. I feel like it's ok to have more impersonal lore if you're just not the type of person that wants to develop a long form story in that way.
