If we're being honest, /v/ and /a/ are my main places. And also Twitter. Granted I was too focused with other shit irl and I would admit that I was only causal observer of english vtubers, only seeing clips of them on my tl. But the one thing that made me curious, though I'm embarrassed to admit, was his strip Sekiro stream. I saw the title and thought "wtf is this?" and decided to check it out. He was already at the end (and naked) by then, but I was immediately drawn in by his voice and his stupid-ass sense of humor. I quickly became a fan of him after that and soon got to know the other members of luxiem and everyone else in Nijisanji. I can honestly say that Vox open the door for me to English-speaking side of vtubers.

As much as I hated watching that breakdown of his in the 800k Sims stream I do wish I could watch it one last time because that was one of the biggest moments that made me so attached and parasocial towards him. I feel you... I still think about how he said how loved he feels when he sees chat say they love him and how real it feels and it is real you silly!! I already had liked him well before but everything that happened around that stream and after made my attatchment grow tenfold towards him. Even his first big talk impacted that and is still hard to even think about if only because I knew even then he felt absolutely cornered to say things that people who don't even watch or care for him wanted him to (even if there were things that need to be said). It's only since he took his big break that it finally let up a bit but even then I still feel so much for him. I don't think I can ever properly word how happy and soft I am whenever I hear him geninuely be happy and improving in his mental state without it also being a bit of an overbearing cringe fest but I should probably just work more to embrace the cringe like milord says.

honestly i think this board blows "Vox's numberfag minecraft stream" WAY out of proportion. its not even a breakdown but rather him saying that sometimes numbers for content creators can cause stress because like...yeah well duh and he analyzes and ruminates on it and talks about it thoroughly. hes clearly pretty upset and venting but still in control of himself, and he's worried ABOUT worrying about being felt like he's being irrelevant or abandoned and that he needs to calm down. i dont think he'd delete it because it doesn't even qualify as a menhera moment.

True. It also has some great moments besides that like Luca cheering him up, and it's an mc stream that does contribute to the castle. I do agree on people over-blowing Vox's more fragile moments. I would say that the 800k stream was an actual menhera breakdown, but something like him explaining how numberfagging causes him stress is nowhere near on that level. He's just a really rambly guy that can go on and on when something really is occupying his thoughts, and I guess to some people that means he's melting down about something every other day. Also the fact that he's popular and controversial adds to it too.

the 800k made me go menhera for a bit of my own. i couldnt stop thinking about it for days worrying and worrying. i was torn because I was horrified at how entrenched he was by parasocialism and how much it drove him literally insane but also i felt very sorry for him and really touched. it was one of the first streams i ever caught live as i was getting into him so i remember it very strongly. i was seriously questioning myself why i couldnt tear myself away from this clearly crazy guy but something about how sincere he was really got to me. im happy I stuck around this whole time through all the menheras and yabs because at the end of the day i really do love him a lot. despite all the problems it takes a lot of fortitude for him to keep on trying and going and being open to feedback as opposed to shutting down entirely.
