My problem with P5 is that it wants to be both a wacky lupin charming thief story (which is fine and great, easily the best part) AND handle social commentary.

I always thought Kamoshida only raped Shiho, not the rest. There must've been some level of sexual harassment tho. The beatings were definitely the stupidest for me, specially considering males practicing sports wouldn't just take that kind of treatment, not for long.

the problem here is that you are looking at it from a western perspective, things are very different in japan with this kind of stuff.
in the west you can get a teacher fired and ruin their career with false accusations and rumors as long as they create a big enough media shitstorm. in japan unless you have 100% clear evidence of criminal doing, trying to spread rumors to get a teacher arrested will end up with you getting sued for defamation.
mind you in japan you can get sued for defamation even if your accusations are true, so even if the kids told their parents the teacher is beating them the parents would first need undeniable video proof of that happening and the they would still risk being sued for ruining the teachers public image.
the whole "steal his heart so the teacher would come out and confess on his own" is pretty much a parody critic of that reality in japan.

IMO bae is doing the bare minimum of the lectures to keep her parents happy.
What i mean is, bae doesnt strike me as the kind of gal that goes through college to get a position as a teacher or a doctor or something (unless she's learning dance/music and in that case my point is moot). She's more than aware that she can make a good living by being a streamer, specially if she's not paying rent by living in the shed but she's probably gonna finish college for her asian parents, since its common that they dont feel secure unless you have one
Then again im talking out of my ass here, but my buddy went through law school just so his dad could stop annoying him, then he worked for exactly two years as a lawyer to kickstart his comic shop and has not looked back in like ten years, his father always being supportive of the whole ordeal yet he still insisted he finished college
