Yes, I was going to mention this too, it is quite clear that Marine does not want to die and it is visible that she still has the ability to enjoy the things she likes it is just that she is a very emotional person who is overwhelmed by her own feelings, this would not be bad except that she lives in a society where people are expected to be stoic for the good of the group so she somehow has to stifle that sadness she sometimes feels so as not to "affect" someone else close to her.
Ironically I think crying in stream was the right thing to do as she somehow released emotional and mental weight on that day, it was cathartic for her, it is valid to feel sad from time to time, not even a person who seems as cheerful as she is should be forced to smile all the time.
