>No retarded runes
But retarded spelling. America literally has spelling competitions. Pretty much everywhere, else being able to spell is just considered part of basic literacy. The only comparable thing I can think of are Kanji quizzes.
>grammar is simple and lenient
What? English grammar is an absolute clusterfuck, because it's like half a dozen languages mashed together and the grammar rules make no sense. Just some things off the top of my head:
- You can say "I punched him", but not "him punched I"? Why do pronouns have cases when you don't get any of the advantages? Might as well just say "I punched he" and drop the word "him" from the language, since the meaning is determined by the word order anyway.
- Why is it "funnier" and "more important", but not "more funny" and "importanter"? Different adjectives have different rules for no reason.
- Why can you say "I bought an awesome new red sports car", but not "I bought a red new awesome sports car"? There are rules for adjective order, but good luck trying to memorize those as an ESL.
>no gendered language bs
You mean like, for nouns? Actress, stewardess, huntress...
>verbs are straightforward
Plenty of weirdness there. "Went" the past tense of "go", "read" is either present or past tense with different pronunciation, "could" is either present or past tense with the same pronunciation but different meanings... and while we're at ambiguity, what about all the overlap between noun, adjectives and verbs? "Abstract" can be all three, so can "quiet". "Tear" or "lead" mean completely different things depending on whether they're a noun or a verb, etc.
Oh and also, the vocab is huge. English is the only language I know that has different words for animals and their meats, for example. You got "cow" and "chicken" from German, but "beef" and "poultry" from french. Same with many other words like "drink" vs. "beverage".
>pronunciation makes absolutely no sense
And that too.
I am euro and have it much easier than someone from jp, but even I can tell that English is not an easy language by any means.

What explication do you need? They are free to do anything with their content, if Mel can do porn and Silver can do ASMR in her Patreon, just like Hime can't disappear for ages, or Nazuna can maintain her two lives, they are basically on their own to make their choices for content, obviously they do have meetings and when help is needed they can support them, just like Nazuna TL system, helping her with TITS or stuff like that.
>VShojo only makes money from merch and sponsors but they are so slow to hire people.
They aren't a company like Cover or AnyColor, they are basically 10 weebs that work for all the members, one is part of the Twitch founding team, one was a huge VFX meme guy on YT, and the other ones are just managers, lawyers and even some programmers like Fugiman, who created the system that most vtubers/youtubers use on stream to make the "jumpy" pngs while talking.
Most of the money that the company makes is spent on tech for them, like V-IRL or the infamous backpacks of GunRun.

That's why they don't have a lot of members, they basically assist them with sponsors and merch but the members by themselves can do whatever they want, and it's already difficult if you don't have a bigger team, since out of that sponsor deals and merch they make money.

VShojo JP is barely off the ground and Japanese companies are notoriously cautious about newcomers and predatory about business deals. While they did hire some known industry people, it still takes time to form connections and associations, again, especially in Japan, where they huddle up to their buddy companies like security blankets and never betray them. Cover and Anycolor have a lot more contacts, so VShojo has to find other people willing to participate with them or make in-roads with people who don't mind working with multiple agencies. As for talents, they have to want to join and VShojo has to hire enough staff to handle their needs. Kson apparently came with her own managers but we don't know about Nazuna. Not only could you say the same things about any European language, but most of them are even worse. German is significantly harder because it has a way more complicated system of articles, pronouns, noun cases, conjugations, three genders, etc., on top of things like irregular verbs that people complain about in English. The only thing that makes English particularly difficult is that it doesn't use phonetic spelling, and it more than makes up for that in having a vast wealth of material to learn from, whereas the only reason to learn German is to read Hegel in das original deutsch or something.
The reason nips don't learn English is because they're lazy, not because it's particularly hard. They don't learn Chinese either despite the fact they could probably be competent within a year because of all the kanji they've memorized.

You are right but also wrong since you can use non-gender terms or female oriented gender terms there is no male equivalent that specifically denotes male only. Except Kanji looks different from Simplified Chinese.
And some characters have different meanings even if they do look exactly the same.
Chinese grammar is closer to English, so nips will die on that part.
It's literally easier for a Westerner to learn Chinese than it is for a nip.

It's very easy for Chinese to learn Japanese and they face all those same problems, the chinks translate everything instantly whereas English-speakers wait years and end up getting some garbage "touched-up" MTL from a Malaysian who doesn't speak English or Japanese. If anything the biggest barrier for JOPs is the sounds in Chinese.

English grammar is not tied to words. The grammar is fundamentally German, there's just parts of it that have fallen out of use thus giving people the impression it's been 'compromised' or something. It's why it's not considered a creole despite most of the vocabulary being Latin-derived, because those loanwords are used via German grammar, not Latin.

>> No.38472398

The fact remains that English in particular is a mashup of other languages (see my point about vocab for example).
I never said that German was easy either, but this wasn't about comparing them.

>>38471647
>you can use non-gender terms or female oriented gender terms there is no male equivalent that specifically denotes male only
Yes, same as in German. But it doesn't really matter whether *you* want to use use it, it's still part of the language and as such you're still gonna have to deal with it when learning.

>> No.38473291

>>38472398
>English in particular is a mashup of other languages
This isn't really true. >>38472099 put it better than I did: English is a language that uses a highly simplified version of German grammar but a mostly French and Latin vocabulary. Most of the those words ESLs have trouble with come from the smaller set of words of Germanic origin, but they're a small subset that can be easily memorized.
All the stuff you're talking about is worse in other European languages. Yes, there are a few gendered nouns in English, like "actress" or "empress". But in French, German, Spanish, etc., every single noun is gendered, and you will sound like a drooling retard for saying "le" when you should say "la". There is no way around this problem beyond memorizing the genders. Besides historical reasons like the UK and US being the dominant powers, the lack of these complicated grammatical rules is what allowed English to become the international language and why there's so many excellent ESLs all over the world, even if they sometimes say "mouses" instead of "mice".

>> No.38474747

>>38473291
>every single noun is gendered
Yeah but in English, instead of learning the gender of every noun, you'll have to learn the pronunciation of every word. Is that really easier?
>Besides historical reasons like the UK and US being the dominant powers, the lack of these complicated grammatical rules is what allowed English to become the international language
Pretty sure it was mainly the former. If simplicity had been the deciding factor, we should be speaking Esperanto or something.

>> No.38476165

>>38474747
>Yeah but in English, instead of learning the gender of every noun, you'll have to learn the pronunciation of every word. Is that really easier?
I agree with you that this is a problem. Even native speakers struggle with pronunciation. I have family who can read English perfectly but are completely unable to speak to me in English. But yes, it is much less of a problem than attaching a bunch of grammatical rules attached to each word that have to be memorized. If I had my way I would simply have everything written phonetically but English's grammatical simplicity still makes it uniquely easy to learn. A large reason irregular nouns like "think/thought" stick out so much to ESL learners is that they're just so rare, whereas many other European languages will have that kind of shit everywhere.
>If simplicity had been the deciding factor, we should be speaking Esperanto or something.
Esperanto sucks. Something like Esperanto that achieves simplicity by reducing the vocabulary and using compound words to convey abstract concepts could be useful for international communication but you'd never want to watch movies or read scientific papers in something like that. English isn't the objectively easiest language on Earth even if you restrict it to natural languages but it is easier for most foreign learners than other European languages.

There’s a reason why when jp people that know fuck all English are sent a supa in English, they can still read it out to a decent level even if they don’t know what any of it means. The only think difficult about the language is is pronunciation and silent letters.

>but English has funny rules that don't make sense
Even if you butcher English or spelling, most people can comprehend what you're saying. Japanese is full of nasty honorifics and polite and not polite forms. Is someone older than you? You have to address them differently. Is someone younger than you? You have to address them differently. There's a form of Japanese so formal used for people high in the government that normal Japanese people need subtitles when it's on TV. There's so many things in Japanese that are just archaic.
