I was surprised she was so small after seeing her posted around, the model design and her channel and content looks professional enough and I figured the retro game niche was big enough to attract a bigger core audience.

I guess a combo of being indie and not enough audience vtuber overlap, at least for an EN; also ESL. I feel like a JP version of her could catch on, I've dug around enough on sites like nicovideo and fc2 live to know there's plenty of interest in cute girls and retro games, but the competition is rough especially as an indie. Wouldn't be surprised if some JP's try and fail but with a model and professionalism like hers it could be another story.
