The main problem is that this thread lacks posters on certain timezones. The EU and burger timezones are mostly covered, and the most activity we see during "SEA" hours were either anons here doing overtime or one schizo that eventually just gave up.

It seems she was the one everyone had to look after in the early days of NePoLaBo. I had impression they were kinda looking up at her because of her prior experience and got more casual after seeing more of her weak side. Though Lamy did said she was asking her advice back then.

Lamy's talked about that before. In terms of experience streaming and vtubing, Polka helped a lot, however she was still a wreck from what happened over at Upd8. Lamy talked at one point about Polka felt fairly closed off on her wants/desires, often just deferring to the group, which she was sad about because she wanted to know more about Polka, and was happy when she started opening up more. And then there was the situation with Polka and Lamy when she was drunk for a while as well.
Luckily, Polka got a lot of love in Hololive, and has certainly stabilized in the years since

Day 1 only lists 24 talents for the Hololive Stage, 26 talents for the Holo27 Stage, Day 2 lists 26 for the Hololive Stage.

The only girls not scheduled are Anya, Polka, and ID Gen3. ID won't have Idol Costumes before then so they're out from appearing on stage. Based on last years after-talks, Suisei talked about partnering Polka with Chammers because she had the energy to keep up, and a voice that could reach similar highs. Assuming they use Polka to flex the same way this year, Koyori is an obvious choice, as would be Risu/Ollie if they decide to do mixed branch stuff. Personally I'd love some PolAzki or SoraPol.

Thing is, it's very worth it to Polka. This is what she lives for. She gave up a more secure and lucrative career to jump into Vtubing in it's early days for the chance to be up on stage performing. I get that the idol stuff might not be a big deal to everyone, but it gives Polka life, and that makes it worth while to me at least.

The worst thing about it is that we don't have a way to reliably compare it (since she basically dropped her roommate covers). She's been trying different styles lately, and it just seems like she's just messing around.

Honestly thinking about this scares me a lot, because you could see Polka previously being way more ambitious. She still is, always trying to do different live styles, but she doesn't sing as she used to.
Polka knows what working for a black company is like, so she probably will do everything in her power to avoid a similar situation, but right now, since everything seems calm in Hololive and her way of living doesn't seem to be compromised, she doesn't have to try as hard, and she just tries doing different content as compared to other holos.

If you lads recall Past Polka had not received any professional vocal trainings and at the start of Year 2 Polka talked about beginning her vocal lessons mandated by Cover, wherein the teacher mentioned their surprise as to how good she sang despite any "proper" training. She then went on to talk about how excited she was to learn all the different techniques for singing, some she had already been using unknowingly and some new ones. As for Pol, find that old Lamy MarioKart clip where she list things she loves about Polka. Was there anything about singing?

And taking a chance to talk about it, out of all Polka songs I only really like two: her character song and Envy Baby. Others are either not of my taste or not even good. I also find her karaoke to be too low of production value and most of time boring, so I watch them for short parts between songs where she talks. The only one I actually had fun watching was FurePoru offcollab, with some unusual song choices and them goofing around.
