Respectable.
Unrelated to squirrels but in terms of /horni/, I think way way back it was mentioned in terms of chuubanite synthesis in the way that generals with simple concepts that are found in the majority of vtubers have chuubanite with less powerful base states. While the idea of recharging /horni/ chuubanite with sexual energy makes sense, does /horni energy just cause people to get horny in a loop? If you took two /horni catalognauts and had them just locked in a mating press, would they recharge indefinitely?

>>37826648
Well that brings up an interesting question, what are the interlinking concepts of sex and arousal that would power /horni/ chuubanite? We've discussed that pleasure is a very baseline idea that's primitive and not very sophisticated but in terms of /horni/'s relation to other threads like /ringo/ and /ag/ it's interpreted differently. /ag/ views sex and reproduction as a way to return to nature in bulk what was given to you and I think /ringo/ had old lore about distilling Ambrosia, the divine essence of a goddess that would lead to enlightenment using piss and other bodily waste. We'll need to ask a ringo bro on the greater nature of piss but I think you can make a connection once you break down the core concepts of /horni/.

Wait, I think I've figured something out. /meat/ chuubanite works in a general sense in relation to flesh, flesh melding, and regeneration but you can isolate certain effects to certain /meat/ chuubas. I think the more wide a reach you cast the harder it is to isolate the chuuba related. I think it might go something like:
>/horni/: widest reach cast, whether acknowledged, indulged, or rejected. All chuubas can and do inspire feelings of sexual attraction and lust on the board.
>/ringo/: all chuubas piss but certain chuubas are focused on more than others. Suisei, Matsuri Gura.
>/ag/: specific chuubas that are oriented and acknowledge architecture as a concept like Mint and Saa as well as many others that display features of architecture, can be expanded (kek) to other chuubas
>/meat/: specifically has chuubas dedicated to ryona and cannibalism, concepts can be extended to other chuubas that relate and acknowledge ryona
>/become/: based around Lamy intially but gradually branches out to encompass all that would attempt apotheosis. Still heavily more focused on Lamy than others.
Might be a little wonky on some of these interpretations but I think it lines up with what you see in those generals.

Well I think the concept originally was how ringo was depicted but I never realized there wasn't a ringo lore entry.
Maybe we need to look into actual Alchemy to determine how the Ringo piss alchemist work, I have an idea that the chuubanite is used in order to develop the Ambrosia which is what actually gives different effects based on how its created. I think the alchemist wouldn't exactly pay for the piss but that they'd require a certain amount every month since the assumption is that they're in charge, unless there's another power structure that regulates them. Also, maybe female urine is easier to work with than male urine since female goddesses but you can still use it as a method of creatuon.
I suppose if you wanted to pull a risu and make piss an unironic currency in /ringo/, there could be a piss market of Ambrosia and Ambrosia ingredients. Maybe the Ambrosia sold there is alot cheaper and less potent but can be distilled at home.

I am not buying into predesposition shit because we are a tribal society that frankly doesn't know much about the world so this seems to be a natural overzealous response from us. Alternatively, you could have someone trying to cause problems in a more diplomatic way. Whether this works or not is up to you and debate. This golden goose continues to grow as time goes along, with more and more lands being dedicated to the planting of it and more and more demand arising from many nations around the world. Oh, not only is Azulene used in dyes, it has some properties that make those dyes particularly interesting. For one, azulene is anti-kasha fluorescent. The Kasha-Vavilov rule states that photons emitted through fluorescence come from the molecule's lowest excited state. Azulene not following this means it can be used in interesting applications for fluorescent dyes such as organic LEDs and bioimaging. As a side effect of this property, it also has some uses in photovoltaic panels.
But yes, it can be used to dye clothes. It's an aromatic compound, so it might need to be re-applied once in a while to stay vibrant, but that's not so uncommon for organic dyes.
Hmm, weird interactions with EM waves, that's justification for weird interactions with the Vitium Field in my book. Maybe it can absorb magic quanta of a certain type and re-emit another type. Shower thought.
Also, I've given up on generating good weapons/tools/instruments with AI unless it's extremely mundane and common kek. None of the models have enough training I think, at least I can't do it.

I think it would make sense (following the concept vagueness principles), that /horni/ chuubanite would be remarkably plentiful given the broadness and presence of the concept. I think /nasfaqg/ floated the idea of chuubanite-based currencies for each chuuba on the stock exchange, they might have some ideas.
The main thing that comes to my mind is that standard glowy chuubanite is constantly creating magic quanta, which might make it a poor store of value, but there can also be ways to moderate the activity of chuubanite so it's less active and stores for longer. For one, I have this thought that Mori chuubanite is more stable when bound to harder materials like diamonds, and lasts for less time when bound to softer materials like talc. There could be a similar mechanic for /horni/ chuubanite.

Could the magic quanta that fills chuubanite be shifted slightly depending on the concept? I had an idea that despite it's generality, you could still find variations in the vitubium field that might draw in different effects depending on the situation.
Maybe for /horni/ the magic quanta that comes from very powerful emotions in relation to sex have a far longer and lasting staying power than casual sex, so if you had /horni/ chuubanite chip and had sex with the black smith's daughter that you see on occassion, it could last a good few months or so without dissipating depending on how good the sex was for both parties, if there was love involved, if you were both virgins, ect. In contrast, banging a random lady you've never met might only last until around a day.
This can also work in terms of things like kinky shit that gives both parties extreme sexual fulfillment and probably even masturbation if you felt you had accomplished something though I think normal masturbation magic quanta would last for around a minute.
This would essentially make the richest and most powerful people in /horni/ the ones that get the utmost fulfillment from sex be they a House of Ugly Bastards or House of Waiting Till Marriage or a House of Pegging.
I also like the idea of maybe womb tattoos being used as a long term storage for magic quanta that can be transferred to chuubanite and maybe some ero totems or charms that can also hold magic quanta like you mentioned.

I saw some papers on azulene’s unusual properties too but I’m not feeling well enough to read the whole thing. As for magic quanta I’m still doing my reps on that but apart from realizing I probably should change some of my reference to chuubanite into vitubium, wouldn’t its unusual absorption and emission properties mean it’s reacting to the product of chuubanite decay in the environment? Its emission and photoelectric properties would be analogous to the molecule emitting magic quanta (or regular light) in response to the chuubanite decay

Sex-powered chuubanite activation...
For most other nations, there need be some kind of physical factor to activate the chuubanite... Only emotions and thoughts are not commonly used...
Here is a possibility. /horni/ chuubanite is activated by human pheromones related to sex. And how effective this activation is depends on the "quality" of the pheromone cocktail generated by the human. Depressed masturbatory sex gives off poor quality pheromones. "Higher quality" sex by the metric you prefer gives off higher quality pheromones.
Those pheromones need to come into contact with the chuubanite somehow, and would be found in the greatest concentrations in water-based fluids excreted during the act (sweat, semen, vaginal discharge, urine, saliva, breast milk). So the "chip" would have to be an accessory where it would be exposed to such. Condoms (preferably pierced, as I assume breeding sex is of higher quality), cock rings, some kind of chuubanitic IUD, anything worn on the body, tattoos could all possibly do it.

Chuubanite is basically just what Vitubium bound to matter is called. Kinda like calling a proton bound to an electron a hydrogen atom. You can correct it if you want, but I think they're used interchangeably colloquially, so it's probably fine even if not explicitly correct.
And yes, that's exactly what I mean. That re-emitted magic quanta could have some different properties. I think it would make sense that it shifts the signature of any chuubanite decay that affects it, maybe uniquely. So it would do X for /vnug/ chuubanite decay, Y for /meat/ chuubanite decay, etc.

Which is why a bunch of my “organic-chuubanite complex” references probably should be “organic-vitubium complex” or “organic chuubanite complex” instead. Not all though since in some cases the organic molecules actually bind with chuubanite instead of vitubium like when they’re picked up from the subsoil
Do you think it would make sense for the emission to change based on residues from different magic being used around?

I like this alot in particular because it can infer lots of very cool minor details about /horni/, not only womb tattoos but also clit, dick, and nipple piercings and rings, a whole fashion market of sexual chuubanite genital accessories.
My one issue is that the pheromones aren't complex enough to differentiate between certain situations and responses and what they mean, sex with a hooker (/horni/ probably would not have traditional hookers but for the example) would probably make a loser feel very uppity and successful if they were on drugs or just delusional which would still result in wealthy pheromones that could jack the system up, though I guess if it can at least differentiate from natural pheromone generation and unnatural pheromone generation then you could stop that issue somewhat.
Maybe the sex determines two things: Longevity and Power. False connections that are insincere and come from abnormal pheromones and situations might have longevity but they'd be weak in terms of actual power. Normal sex the natural way would maintain both equally.
also, no schizoposting or you'll get arrested by the Rape Police.

I think that would cool, yeah. The absorption-emission spectra of vitiumitic fluorophores is firmly in the "homebrewed physics" territory, so as long as it makes sense, is consistent with existing stuff, and can result in cool things, it should be good. There are IRL materials with emission peaks that vary depending on the current absorption input.
>>37919725
I think you do not fully conceptualize the subtle complexity of pheromones and hormones. Oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine, epinephrine and others are all synthesized during sexual relations through complex mechanisms heavily dependent on mind state, mood, longer term emotional status, intoxication (inc. drugs), physical activity, bodily stimulation. All those factors have an effect in the proportions and the types of receptors those neurotransmitters can have. I'm pretty sure a molecular processor with sufficient knowledge would be able to differentiate those situations based on the pheromonal output of the participant.
Mind you, it would be plausible for IRL 21st-22nd century tech to artificially create those chemical combinations with sufficient effort, but a disclaimer like that goes for most such things in the setting.

Ah, so essentially the wavelengths of magic quanta that go into the chips would be different so as to not be cheated. I underestimate the ridiculous complexity the human body has gone through.
Also also, I like how this opens up the door for academies dedicated to targeting specific sexual kinks and acts for maximum efficient magic quanta output while also making sure that unless you're actually into it the sex won't matter, kind of like how Bonedrewd's children cannisters require genuine love to work on both ends. Academics will assemble the kink spectrum and dissect almost every fetish in order to note the averages and consistent data on how it gets refilled, classes on the different positions and in what situation they're most optimal, on how you can make the most out of fast sex, on the type of chemicals that you could add into the mix and how to optimize it so that you have as little power loss as possible.
There could be exhibitionist theatres where plays are acted out by nudist that are gaining magic quanta based on how many eyes are on them, maybe even whole plays written with this idea in mind.
What if literal stockades were used in order to pay the city back for whatever transgression criminals commit? Maybe there's a card that people can carry that shows that they have a Consensual Non-Consent License and can go out and find other people with those cards to fill their chuubanite that way, maybe there's even an extremely rare License to Rape. There are so many possibilities here, a true optimized sex economy. Could we begin calling the chips something different, like maybe an Eromantic Processor?

Republic Owl / Pecпyбликa Филин / République Hibou / 共和国 ワシミミズク

"I like to watch" isn't the motto of the Owl Republic, but those who don't know the true motto would be forgiven for assuming it is. Regardless of whether it's a Hoojisan observing the young man his granddaughter's taken a liking to or a hunter getting so focused on his mark's actions he forgets to pull the trigger, watching other entities is a much-beloved pastime.

During the Founding War, scouts were highly valued for their observational work identifying a Schizo Horde’s location, behavior, and other such things. These scouts and their findings were believed by some to have contributed to the establishment of the RID to catalog the findings and, according to the belief of less-than-reputable conspiracy theorists, act as a filter for information, deeming what was fit for the populace to know and what was forbidden.

In the modern day, hunting is a favored hobby even among some of the urban population. Though much has been written on the subject of hunting in the Owl Republic, what is relevant to the topic at hand is that all Hoomans are taught from a young age to keenly watch their prey before taking any shots, so as to learn the habits and other behavior of their prey.

Additionally, a commonly-held yet hotly contested belief among the Republic’s population is that The Nameless One doesn’t truly reside in the Heavenly Realm, but rather observes her people from within the Physical Realm in the guise of an owl. Those who do ascribe to this hypothesis often set out in search of Her in the belief that encountering The Nameless One will grant them a boon of some sort.

The origin of watching is currently believed to be multifaceted, with the above factors being largely agreed upon to be the major contributors to its continued popularity.

Much like the scouts of old, many hunters of beasts, fruitless seekers of The Nameless One, and other watchers take care to document their findings. This has led to the Owl Republic having vast knowledge of its wildlife, such as the mating habits of the Bubon Ursus and the dietary biology of the Flightless Strigea, among various other bits of information.

Inevitably, some have taken the act of switching from watching wildlife to watching tourists and citizens of the Republic. Though foreigners on occasion claim to file complaints of unease due to a feeling of being watched, criminal penalties are rarely pursued unless further actions are taken by the watcher.

Nice! I think I have an idea… what if magicians in /vnug/ often wear a cloak (or other pieces of clothes of choice) that’s dyed with magic azulene? In addition to aesthetic reasons, the cloth’s also dyed and processed in such a way that its color changes according to the type of background chuubanite radiation in the surroundings, and part of the magic training in /vnug/’s to read these sometimes subtle changes and know how to adjust the performance accordingly? It would also mean that some magic songs would make the clothes glow in a certain way, which can be useful when this aesthetics is needed or when they’re actively searching for signs of magic being used

Oh, the /vnug/ take on the VT-meter! Nice idea. Maybe the colors emitted could form funky patterns when the fabric is excited by magic songs, and experts can recognize the patterns to identify the spell being cast if they're familiar with it.

>> No.37928006

>>37927282
It might have to be specifically designed to show intricate patterns since I think the waves themselves won’t be large enough to visible. The cloth might be weaved together using fabrics with different dye formulas so that they light up differently when exposed to magic, basically some kinda magic RGB lighting. It might be a bit gaudy when done improperly but it’s also a nice visual indicator for performers to tweak their songs accordingly. Some might also use it to search for signs of magic use (and accordingly, some magicians are trained to make their magic less detectable) or locations with abundant or specific background chuubanite vapor
I think the only issue’s that complex clothes like that can’t be re-dyed easily so they would have to replace them regularly, so common bard-magicians would be wearing relatively simple patterns, with the complex ones reserved for those who can afford them or have a job requiring its use
It’s kinda funny since Kokone’s clothes also glows although it’s more breathing light than rainbow RGB

The current set up means that elves are technically at an advantage when it comes to using /vnug/ magic since their finer control of muscles is a general thing so it also applies to things like vocalization and playing instruments. It’s not that non-elves can’t use /vnug/ magic or there aren’t skilled human bard-magicians in /vnug/, just that elven physiology gives them an edge and maybe the highest potential maximum out of all the species in /vnug/. That’s probably why the first bard-magicians were elves and a good chunk of Quavers are still elves or half-elves. The article mentions that they use their hair to trap oxygen as a kind of bubble suit and use that to absorb air from the water, I also assume that they can do this in the open air as well but maybe to a lesser extent nanora.
I also think that it would have something like a big air bubble that travels through a vast mucus membrane that they can use to efficiently convey signals, heat, food, and air but that's an idea I just though up, not specific to the article.

So i caught up on https://rentry.org/fleshbone-meeting and its related works.

>Offer & Response
Nothing much to say about the offer, i did like how it was formatted though.
I loved the description of the bas relief about the final yab, somehow i never really thought it could be depicted as the vitubia / Ailivian ragnarök, but it works amazingly well. I keep thinking about what this bas relief would look like, and how each of the chuubas would meet their end.
I also like the mention of the meeting being held within the viewing distance of the mountain. Its very logical and adds depth to the religious aspect of the organization.

>Story, Ch.1
I will steal the footnote system you were using. Very good.
I really liked how you described the catalog dive, especially the note about the other presences recoiling at Nex's touch.
>Ch. 2
You should be aware that the beginning of ch.2 repeats itself twice. Probably an editorial overlook. You also start to use a different footnote method in ch2 than in ch1, which is a bit inconsistent but this is a bit of a nitpick.
Deadbeat thrower in action. Beautiful. The mention of the counter-force pushing the submarine back earns this a 10/10 mark of approval. I do wonder what the darts dream-nathanata threw were exactly though. Some sort of a grenade it seems, but conventional or chuubanitic?
Schizo hiveship? This sounds extremely intriguing, please do elaborate on your idea on this.
Mea was there? I need to go check out her story as well then. More reading to the "critical reading" backlog!
>Ch. 3
The part with the schizo shaman a bit before Nex gets pulled back to the catalog from the dream is confusing. Was the "enemy catalognaut" the shaman? They aren't usually described as such, so hearing this was confusing. I feel like there is a paragraph here missing that you accidentally erased during editing or something, the scene feels very disjointed and there seems to be critical information missing.
Their lifespans are falling.. Oh shit. I do wonder what this will lead up to. Thats one hell of a thing to drop on someone like that.
Who is Moriko and is there information about here somewhere? Or have you planned on writing something at some point? Im curious about her now.

Looking forward to more!

Corps didn't come to be until 1800 in real life. In around mid 18th century most armies are still running around with their infantry and cavalry organised into discrete regiments instead of more permanent corps. Depending on the culture and philosophy of your nation there isn't a need to stand at the cutting edge of military development especially if you don't face any immediate, credible threats. But still it's not implausible for /moon/ to adopt such a system in around ~1130-1140. So in the end it's up to you.

Hey!
Glad you liked the Final Yab description, the whole scene visually is heavily inspired by the Sistine Chapel, there's something really good about having a huge, incredibly intricate art piece multiple buildings above you, I wanted to channel some of that.
As soon as I noticed it was physically possible, I knew I had to put in the "visible mountain" thing. I can just imagine Mori sitting on the mountaintop, using her divine vision to check what the Shitomo are up to 300 kilometers away.
Catalog dive is as good as it is thanks to Sojourning mainly, anon did a great job with the descriptions in that.

Ah, footnote rant time. They're the bane of my existence, and the two systems are left in to get feedback on which is less bad. Pros of the chapter 1 method: it's all contained on one page. Cons, you can't backlink to the footnote from the Notes section unless you give the footnote its own line, which breaks the flow of the paragraphs a bit imo. And then, you have to scroll back to wherever you were. Also, the content of the "Notes" can kind of spoil what happens in the chapter if it's put at the start, and if it's put at the end there's a risk of seeing the last lines of the chapter.
The second chapter system resolves some of these, but forces you to open a new page, which is annoying.
I take it you prefer the first system, then?
Oh, yes, editorial mistake. Thanks for the headsup.
A conventional breaching charge, it could plausibly be chuubanitically augmented, but I don't think it's necessary in this instance.
Ah, that's meatbro's idea! We didn't discuss it in depth, but I envision it like a space hulk from WH40k but set in one of those giant Junk ships with a dozen sail masts. It's infested by a schizo cult that has been plaguing the coasts of /ggg/, as hinted by the presence of chumbud artefacts and the shrimp troll, possibly linked to the recent quietude of the Goddess.
I had a perfectly good spec ops Holy Ghost just sitting over there, I just had to do it. Mea was established as being a bit /meat/cist, so she fit well for the role.

You're right, this is a bit disjointed. That's what I get for not having my stream of consciousness looked over by someone before posting. I'll rewrite some bits to clarify. The enemy catalognaut refers to the Matiyotl catalognaut, whose presence she can feel deeper in the ship (he's why the shaman that ran towards Nat that she killed was injured).
Nothing else on Moriko atm, but she's a young, talented catalognaut with schizo-related trauma and under the supervision of the Goddess Faithful, so I'm sure she'll pop up again.

Thank you for the detailed feedback!

Does the rule of believers visiting the two moons apply to all visitors all across vitubia? What would a believer in moona do if they are somehow found stuck in the Indie continent with no way to return back home in time? Are foreign pilgrims generally allowed to travel to the two moons?

Eh, both systems have their merits. I think the 2nd system may be a tad better for the simple fact that you dont have to scroll back all the time...
Although, you could add relevant footnotes into their own sections at the end of each chapter instead, or you could give them a section at the end of the file, just space it way below the end of the last chapter. Spam those "-> . <-" ' s

Yeah, them being schizos that plagued chumbies was quite clear. Floating fortresses of schizos that could at any moment crash upon your shores to wreak havoc.
I did figure out the /meat/naut was the one responsible for injuring the shaman, especially since the nails were mentioned which were also mentioned in Nex' character sheet and in the description of his other victim.

I want to write a piece about how larger schizo groups come together and rise in power to be able to challenge "proper" nations, since it's relevant to /morig/ history. Nice work so far OG. Make sure to continue letting the reader know what's going through Sherah's mind, this is nicely done. You can also try getting across her emotional state through body language. For example, instead of saying Sherah is increasingly nervous, you could say she was fidgeting nervously, I think that tends to be more immersive for the reader. Your writing has gotten noticeably better since you started. I guess Sycamore is about to explain the Risuners need to look within for answers, or something like that?

>>37972722
Most real debates tend to have some good arguments on both sides, so I think this situation rings true. I guess if you get down to the crux of it, the realpolitik concern of Sycamore is that the pros of sharing sapling magic is some kind of material reward from the Risuners, while the cons are: having to figure out if the magic can work in another country (which might be impossible), having to share sorta secret magicks with somewhat unfamiliar foreigners, and having to trade away magic objects that are possibly limited in supply. So the cons are too large compared to the advantages. Countries tend to act pragmatically, so if Sycamore represents the Saplings, that might be a mental calculus that goes through his mind.
I guess Sherah will want to find something else she can obtain from Saplings beside magic, maybe something philosophical or strategic in nature.

I kinda have that feeling. I would say maybe that’s why metallurgy was introduced to /vnug/ by the refugees instead of invented by the elves despite the long headstart since one drawback of digitigrade locomotion’s that it has a lower weight limit and can’t stand upright as long, but I’m not sure if miners and smiths actually stood upright long enough to matter. I guess their dexterity would manifest in different ways when it comes to metal tools

>>37957358
It’s nice to see I’m not the only one who like that idea! >melody echoing
I've read enough /vnug/ stories to find this ominous... I like how she never stops playing, she just transitions to different, more mood appropriate songs, like a dynamic video game soundtrack. Or a good bard, I guess kek. Great scene
Also, your worries about military stuff were misplaced, I think. The action was pretty well explained and easy to visualize, even if it was complex.
>We will ride eternal, shiny and chrome!
Fantastic, just fantastic. I love that movie, this got a good chuckle out of me.
Like a falcon locking on its prey, the bow made a sharp dive, its enchanted hair whet the strings, the swishing sound piercing through the singular mind of the soldiers.
The red lights on them pierced through the dusty snow, illuminating their specter blood red
Few lines that I liked especially.
And as usual, it's always great to see Palkyries fighting, I like the detail of one of the reindeermen holding his staff with both his hand and his tail.
I learned a silly amount of musical terminology through those links btw, nice touch.
Great story, I liked it a lot!

>On their body, in addition to the pieces of armor made of hardened leather, hide, and metal, all of them also carried with them an oil lamp made of dulled silver. Even though all of them were filled, none of them were *it*.
I think that was meant to be lit? There's a few typos like that, but that's the only one that interrupted my reading.

If I may be so bold, the grammar mistakes aren't really esl mistakes nanora. Don't mean to suck your dick but the particular word choice and attention to detail on how they work within the sentences they're used in already shows a very comprehensive and articulate grasp on the language, these are honestly just average typos.
>Focusing her entirety on her instrument
>Even though all of them were filled, none of them were it.
These are probably just from getting really into it and not proof reading instead of any lack of understanding of the english language nanora.

I’m told being bad at English while not knowing any other language’s a burgerland thing so I guess it fits even though Liora can speak 2~3 languages

Thank you! I try to incorporate things I learned both from my own reps and from other stuff people here told me, especially since most of the stuff involved are things I knew nothing about
>performance
Boräsmor’s duty as the commander (and buff provider) requires her to keep her performance going after all, and her being the only bard-magician in the field means she can’t really pass her role to others while she rest, which is why she only gets a few rests between verses and notes. Fiddles like violins are also known for their continuous notes (even though you definitely can make short discrete notes with them) so it fits thematically
>Fury road reference
It’s something that has been stuck in my head since I saw that. It’s hinted at in vnugtale2 but the whole line fits better here than there
>liked lines
I’m not good enough to actually include actual music in my writing so a lot of these descriptors are meant to also convey how her performance feels like, hence I compare some of her motions to birds of prey both to invoke the swiftness and to reflect what’s happening in the battle at the moment. I also probably like giving bellicose /vnug/ people an inhuman flair a bit too much… part of me feels it might help balance out how often the long-suffering Mujigae got beaten wheneven I need to write actual fights
>music terminology
It’s fun to learn! It also helps that many of the movements already have dedicated names to them so even if my writing can’t convey the imagery, hopefully the links could point the readers to better sources

>lamp
>>37983718
You’re right… that’s one of those typos that spellcheckers can’t fix. For “Focusing her entirety on her instrument”, I meant to say she’s concentrating on her performance as she knew the first verse is what would make or break the battle and she only has a small window of doing it. There are probably better ways to describe that…

The spatchcock turkey was a little disappoint. However it was thawed for too long and lost most of its juices before cooking. Maybe next time I won't get pnemonia before cooking. I digress.

So /moon/'s got a dry beach, a mediterranean north, and a continental lowland forest. There's some other regions south but I have no idea how far the territory goes.

It wasn't all bad. The white meat is tender. Though the dark meat is a little dry. It needed more time to season. And the turkey needed to be fresher. Plan was to cook it last Friday. You want to cook turkey within 2 days of thawing. It was the 4th day after thawing. Should have just stripped the turkey and stewed it by then.

Funny you mention that, I actually originally planned to have the short story be part of a larger story about Boräsmor during /vnug/’s war against old Mujigae but I don’t know if I can actually pull that off

It's pretty interesting, very inspired by monastic orders I assume, some references to quan chi too, I like how "chaos" as a concept seems so similar to "harmony".

I like the relationship between their philosophy and the fighting style of the different orders.
It's the realism autist side of my brain speaking but without armor or even a small shield should make them very vulnerable to missiles. While it makes sense for them to not wear any armor or use shields in duels it makes less sense for them to not use them in the field. Especially as the claws and fangs are supposed to be the main fighting force of the country.

Eh since an anon suggested, here's a book recommendation. Aside from martial arts it also describes the military institution of different dynasties. If you want some inspiration or are writing a more East Asian influenced nation this should help.
Get it from you-know-where, ofc.
