Like a month ago I would’ve agreed, but I started watching niji and I felt like an idiot sticking to holo. Niji is a beacon of hope for what Hololive is a dying pillar.

Seriously though, it's a bit unfair to put Holo JP in comparison. When we talk about Hololive competition, it's automatically always EN that we're shitposting about since JPs are basically impossible to top off. You can't even think of Niji JP when we say "JP". There's just Hololive

I dunno, because I can't understand japanese.
I know that Niji has people like Kuzuha, Fuwa, Joe Ricci, and other people that seem to be very population in Japan. But again, I can't understand anything they say.

All I can judge is EN.
Hololive has some talented girls. Ina, Gura, Mori, Fauna, there's no doubt these people are talented. However, they also have some significant drawbacks.
-- Very weak streaming schedules. Huge breaks all the time. Especially with the top-earners.
-- Low effort. They tend to re-use thumbnails, don't produce schedules, and spam the same content over and over again.
-- Very weak social interactions. This is extremely noticeable when comparing them to their competitor. I don't know why, or what's going on behind the scenes, but something isn't right.

Nijisanji meanwhile has some very charismatic and talented people...and some that are less so. Their strength is hardwork, variety, collabs/friendship. However, they are not without downsides.
-- They interact a lot with males, and are not seiso. They even do mixed-gender offcollabs. So unicorns stay far away.
-- The Nijisanji philosophy causes them to spam lots of vtubers of mixed variety, and not all of them are hits. So you might be stuck watching a collab with people you don't like very much.
-- Nijisanji itself doesn't seem to understand marketing and promotion the way Hololive does, and doesn't provide nearly as much support. (Although as a tradeoff, management is less overbearing).

I'm just going to say, I think Nijisanji is higher quality. They produce so much content, they produce schedules, and a good variety. But not everyone is willing to stomach male collabs. That's completely understandable. I don't know what's going on with Hololive, why their social atmosphere is so bad, but it would be nice if they improved.
