Gen 5 debuted to a massive audience and for awhile prior to the Aloe graduation they were riding pretty high though slightly hobbled by the suspension. When Aloe graduated, that pretty much crippled their growth because for a period of time Gen 5 had the blackmark of having Hololive's first graduation during the vtuber boom (Chris was fired to be fair). And when Myth debuted to much fanfare, the tourist decided to switch to them since Gen 5 just reminded them of bad memories.
