From Lamy 3D live stream today she said she paid around ¥100M for her annual income.
Using public calculator, she approximately has around ¥230M annual income or around $1.6M

I think he's a bit confused, the company she's working with has also done a collab with Pekora and now also Noel. It isn't her own sake production business, however I'm sure she gains some money from all these sales. They run out of stock within half an hour of going up.

Real talk, it is.
Taxes are the only way that millionaires can be forced to give a fuck about the society that enables them. Unless you grew up in a fucking cave raised by cave bats and taught how to speak / craft by them, you've only gotten this far thanks to the people who took care of you, whether that's your parents or a social worker who took care of you is irrelevant to me - the point is that people who earn a lot of money should be have the right to keep most of it, but because so many people who earn a lot of money refuse to put any of it into stabilizing society and keep it to themselves out of greed, the government needs to step in and make sure we don't enable another fucking underground aristocracy of billionaires and millionaires who genocide the poor.

We don't live in the medieval age anymore people, everyone who respect other people's right to life deserves to live with dignity, too.

I bet people will argue that superchats matter when I'm pretty sure a bulk of their income would come from membership which is more stable by comparison, ad revenue from videos, sponsorship streams, con fees and merchandise sales. Gura broke records of birthday merch sale of dino Gura alone and it seems so far ahead in first place that she said it "obliterated it" and Gura is not much of a bragger with how little she tries to bait superchats and celebrate milestones while others make a spectacle of it so you know she is serious when she says it. Even if there is a youtube leak similar to twitch, you'll still likely never get the full picture. Amaranth showed she got $30 million off Onlyfans alone. Youtube could potentially be just an iceberg compared when you add everything up that they contribute on and behind the streams.

>> No.37189936

>>37189427
>why is it so unbelievable that she can also move more merch?
It's not unbelievable but due to the sheer size of their audience it's much more likely for them to move more money, be it from sponsors, merch, members or whatever.
Don't have it on hand but there's that pic showing Pekora selling over 1m USD with a single merch run, for example.

So after taxes, Lamy is pretty much the equivalent of a millionaire (Currently $920k but before the yen crashed it would have been more like $1.1 million). Safe to say at least a half dozen or dozen of the other girls are around this benchmark as well. I'd imagine even the Holos at the opposite end who are the least financially successful still come in at $200k-250k yearly after taxes.

>> No.37190647

>>37189427
After the PPT-shirt it is known that cover invovles (including startup money) their talents and mangers about the number they produce. sold out merch doesn't mean much if only 70 is produced. Lamy is known to sell out fast and in masses. If they dare to numbersign their merch we would have more clues but right now sold out merchs means nothing other than they reached the numbers they expected.

Yeah, Pekora has a plum wine that is sold by them. I don't know the details of their collab though, if I had to guess it's probably similar to the Kurand collabs that roll around every so often; a talent picks a flavor they like and the company slaps their face on a bottle to sell. If that's incorrect I apologize. I do know that Lamy was extremely involved in the process of making her own sake. She has a playlist on her channel with 7 streams documenting the work she did alongside Meiri Shurui. Whether that affects how much one gets paid over the other is not for me to say. All I know is those two girls pretty much made that mom and pop sake brewery filthy rich.

Do you have a source on that?

Source?

A source. I need a source.

Sorry, I mean I need a source that explicitly states your argument. This is just tangential to the discussion.

No, you can't make inferences and observations from the sources you've gathered. Any additional comments from you MUST be a subset of the information from the sources you've gathered.

You can't make normative statements from empirical evidence.

Do you have a degree in that field?

A college degree? In that field?

Then your arguments are invalid.

No, it doesn't matter how close those data points are correlated. Correlation does not equal causation.

Correlation does not equal causation.

CORRELATION. DOES. NOT. EQUAL. CAUSATION.

You still haven't provided me a valid source yet.

Nope, still haven't.

I just looked through all 308 pages of your user history, figures I'm debating a glormpf supporter. A moron.

Actually it's a bit more nuanced than that.
Tokyo(as in the central 23 wards) is among some of the most expensive places in the world. Then there's everything in Kanto outside of that, as well as of big metropolies like Osaka or Fukuoka, which are in line with western european counterparts. Then there's cities like Kanazawa and Shizuoka which are cheaper due to lower overall importance of the city. And then there's cheap cities like Takamatsu or Gifu where my eastern european wage would actually give me BETTER living conditions than I have here.

Why should the unproductive be forced to suffer so the productive can have even more that they don't need? Why are you so sure those who have wealth have earned it through productivity?

>Why should the unproductive be forced to suffer
The unproductive (including myself here) should be allowed to be unproductive, but then should not expect others to produce what they need in order not to suffer for them.
I'm not saying that everyone who has money is productive, but that solution isn't to penalise people who have money (both earned and say inherited) and redistribute it to people who don't. This isn't going to magically make them productive people. It's only going to train and incentivise them to not work for money, and teach the people who have made a lot of money legitimately that they will be disproportionately stolen from.

If someone makes over 500k in yearly income I see no issue with taxing that at close to 80%+ >500k. imo anything under 100k should be tax free, with increasing brackets past that. This would of course, be a maximum and the actual tax would only be to the level needed to fund projects

Why are you surprised? It's pretty damn well known that successful content creators make bank by now. And every Holo - even the low tier ones - are relatively successful.
The only difference between them and your 9-5 job is that the unsuccessful ones make literally less than minimum wage, and that's the majority of them. The top 1% of any industry is probably going to be better than your average 9-5 job.

The downside to the wealth and fame is that you have to live in constant fear of stalking & doxxing and never living a quiet life.
Everything you do and say is monitored and one fuck up can cost you your entire career.
Also, your entire revenue would be reliant on the internet.
