Interesting point. The character play is nice seasoning, just enough is good but too much makes the meal unpalatable and I think the girls did fine with it, but I think the real magic lay elsewhere.
The viewers liked seeing that the girls were working together and with the community to build a brand for the group. Myth felt really strong because they were pioneering a course for themselves and they were motivated to pave the way for the new girls. Nowadays it feels like the girls are kind of all on their own.
I think recreating that "constructive feeling" is key to revitalizing the branch.
Unfortunately it seems like there's a lot of awkward tension behind the scenes which is hindering their ability to work with each other in a genuine way.

At this point, I think they genuinely consider Tempus to be “Schrödinger’s EN3”, where they either may or may not be EN3 depending on what the fans call it.
On related news, I’ve seen an increasing number of Reddit posts subtly slagging on EN for lack of unity and downvotes for comments that say Tempus is part of HoloEN. I really don’t think even the redditors realize it, but this warping of the brand until EN acts nothing like JP is killing everybody’s enthusiasm.
