That’s not the niji approach and that anon is absolutely correct. Maybe not in the length of time, but 8 month intervals would’ve been completely fine and perfect not just for HoloEN but for the scene as a whole. Cover put too much burden on such a small branch. They had as much weight put on them to bring success to the scene as JP, except JP had 3 times the members and 1000x the resources to succeed. We don’t look at JP and say “yeah Peko and Marine are the ones propping the entire branch up and everyone relies on them for success” we saw first hand that multiple breaks at the top did nothing because you still had 20+ holos streaming. We were seeing Azki karaokes hit 20k with Watame for crying out loud.

The same can’t be said for EN. They put way too much on people like Gura to hold the scene afloat and when she’s gone, the world collapses around them because management can’t be fucked to greenlight projects anyways for EN so all you’re left with is some streams under the permission list.

If you’re going to let a branch rot with just streaming being an “in” for their success then you need to actually PUT streamers out there. You NEED content for that branch to thrive and the less people you have, the harder it’s going to be. EN3 would relieve so much of this problem because it adds in new dynamics to the branch and gives older ENs chances to pull out new collabs, with new ideas and new formulas injected into the branch when you have people actually readily available.

That’s nothing like the niji approach. What you are describing is 2-3 month intervals of constant, repeated pushing of new members who have zero collab bans and are just thrusted into the spotlight in hopes that they get a hit and pull fans in
