A mega link that can only be found in the easily lost and not intuitively accessible archives of an obscure-ish website is not nearly as secure as an actual torrent file, nor is it as easy to find for a newcomer to the fanbase. On a similar note, when old Nyaa died an entire swath of archives died along with it. Torrents have hardcoded announce URLs in them, and should those announce URLs die then (at least for torrents that don't use DHT) nobody can really seed or leech those torrents. The current iteration of Nyaa "reimported" torrents from old Nyaa but what that means is they basically grabbed the torrent files, added their announce URLs to it, and made it accessible on current Nyaa. But seeders who existed on old Nyaa would need to fetch these updated torrents for them to continue seeding to a reachable audience which...is an impossible feat for a large portion of torrents.

Any time I've seen her sing live I'm pretty sure she always has the nervous tic. I would have to rewatch to say with certainty. But, be it the first live, Tubeout, Vortex, AZKi 8th, etc, I think we will see a similar result.
If it's that her headset never fits at all, well can't she do something about it? Don't get me wrong I think it's cute and it certainly doesn't take away from the performance. The idea that her headphones didn't fit as well was our hypothesis that was backed up by her touching her ears more when dancing and not at all during sitting songs, but while my Japanese isn't great so I might have got it wrong, I'm pretty sure she said that her headphones fit fine and she just kept touching them anyway because she fiddles with it when she's nervous. Maybe the reason she didn't mess with them when sitting down vs being active was because she was more at ease since she didn't have to worry about choreography and could just focus on the music like she does at home.

As to learning to sing without hearing yourself, though, that's not a bad thing and very common. Since sound can be transmitted through your body to your ears, you might sound very different in a recording then you do to yourself, and I am 100% certain she talked about recording herself singing to practice, before she had a proper mic, while doing karaoke. There's a reason every stage performer these days has a discreet set of IEMs in so that they can hear how they sound coming out of the stereo.

I guess, to be able to perform without hearing yourself isn't really as needed when everyone uses monitors anyway. There's not really going to be a situation where a vtuber can perform without technological equipment in the first place. The ability then only becomes beneficial if the ability to sing without hearing yourself can make you a better singer. Honestly I'm not well versed enough on vocal training to comment on that.

Yes, that was the first thing I tried (in VLC). Along with removing the extensions/changing the file type to mkv to match after it didn't work as .part. I believe you are correct about it being 1 audio track (1.5gb) and 1 video track (11.2gb), because the larger file does show the first frame (only). Both files load as a 00:00 file length.

I do think that metal isn't that popular in Japan, though, especially with the crowd that would be a vsinger. Metal also takes a pretty unique skillset compared to most other types of singing, so there's a few metal chuubas but they don't stray outside of their genre, and the one notable EN metal chuuba can't shut the fuck up about politics which killed her appeal in the cradle. You can find a few on the JP side like the guy who made the 'take your meds' song which was a pretty well done meme song, but none of them really stood out as actually good.
