I think my and everyone's worry is that this prolonged wait is picking at the English vtuber fanbase as a whole. The whole point of debuting talents in orderly time is to ensure you are expanding on your fanbase, and not making up for the fans you lost in the first place. That's the big problem right now and a worry is that unless some big explosion happens with a new gen, there's a possibility that they don't bring in as many fans as hoped and everyone just cannibalizes eachother's views.

I'm of the opinion that that won't happen and like council they WILL bring in new fans, but I don't like this situation. I hate that it's taking this long to release a gen on the 2nd/3rd biggest vtuber branch in all of vtubing (competing with NijiJP here). It made sense for ID to take a while because there was clearly concerns about finances and fan interest, and that ID had already been prioritizing overseas fans than their own native fans, but EN is like a really fucking big branch. It has a fuck ton of fans and a fuck ton of fan works being injected each and every single day. Being THIS slow and lazy when the rest of the scene expanded is just insane to me.
