Load times are instant, it doesn't stutter when it hits sprite limits, telltale flickering isn't there when it starts hitting memory limitations. The emulators are, for the most part, too good to emulate the original hardware without adding extra exceptions for it.
I don't think Nintendo is looking hard enough to try and pick out which ones are/aren't genuine because several of the ports of their old games they've released on console-specific emulators, too.

You remember it wrong, or don't have the full picture (which comes from the mobile games). Xenahort did actually have semi-decent motivations. But mostly, the "shit writing" is just camp taken to the extreme. Is it niche? Possibly. But it's what its audience likes and expects from it, so you cant really say it's shit. This sort of ridiculous, no-restrictions storytelling, when coupled with this sort of production value, is the kind of thing you can only get in this series and as such, has a LOT of novelty value, which is enjoyable.

Fantastic feeling of character progression (ability-wise) as you play through the game, probably best in its genre in this regard. Large enemy variety. Lots of combat and mobility options. Literal god-tier pacing. From the short level and tone-appropriate minigames to the character progression to the world structure to the level gimmicks to the various subsystems, the journey to endgame is one of the smoothest and least stale in gaming (fuck story, combat, etc, this, I would say, is the series' greatest strength).
On reaching end-game, the DLC bosses in 2 and 3 (especially 3) are among the most difficult, fun and replayable you'll find anywhere, and there are 14 of them. NO other game in the genre has this, and given the average time invested (took a known speedrunner 12 hours to complete for the first time) in them, is basically a whole game in itself.

FF14 has also done what very few mmo disasters could do and that's nuke their original mmo and rebuild it completely, and make that a part of the new game's lore. You also give the pampered cultured of ff14 a bit more slack than is really talked about. Aside from the forum shitposting, most of the players have been conditioned into the belief that ff14's community is a complete pamper prim and proper-fest because of the actions taken if "you're disrupting my ff14 experience" kind of stuff.
And any users that have made either specific jobs of SMN or SCH their life and modus operandi and the pets get taken away are more likely to just up and leave. Something that would have been building up with the housing disaster along with viera and hrothgar not being able to wear visible hats, would have been adding to these gripes. Well, getting permission from the publisher to stream the game is only the first half of the battle. I'm sure the girls have to get individual permission from their managers to play something they want to. And likely are just fed a schedule of what they're expected to play with like 1 'free' day every 2 weeks or something to do some gimmick stream or play something off-script.

I seriously doubt all 5 girls were dying to do 3 Minecraft streams a week for a year. There is very little variation in what they play if you look at their Youtube uploads. The same names keep resurfacing again and again. It's just not normal. The pattern is too tight for individual preferences to come through.

There's a reason one of the most popular scenes form kh3 is woody saying all that is bullshit and the villain is using that as an excuse for why nobody has ever loved them.
